Your can cannon has a pin welded in the "barrel" that prevents a live round from going in View Quote For now I just use a transparent 20 round magazine with a discolored floorplate. Yeah, I might do that. Adding a block seems pretty trivial but I'm not sure where to start on the follower - most of them index off the front ribs, which I figure would hinder feeding once cut off to pass the block. I'll study a few of my mags to see if any of the followers might function well with a snipped front end.
But often times these things tend to just be easier to buy from someone who makes them professionally, which is why I was curious if anyone here has sourced any. |

I have yet to receive my package from F5. I have sent the owner a email he did respond that it had shipped. It’s been over a week since I placed my order with no proof of shipping or receiving the order. Owner said he was looking into it on Tuesday and haven’t heard back from him since then. |

Quoted: Yeah, I know. I just wanted a triple-layer safety for taking some of my friends and family who are unfamiliar with guns out for an afternoon of fun with the blooper. Obvious things like big blue magazines that demonstratively can't physically fit a live round into them tend to convince the more timid folks to relax a bit and get more comfortable with guns in general. I've already converted one friend into a gun guy by starting him off with a single-shot .22lr from the 50's and my can launcher - and now he's buying his own AR15. For now I just use a transparent 20 round magazine with a discolored floorplate. I'm wondering if a riser would get the sight higher, giving s better angle?? Moving the sight forward and rearward to get the right angle. Also when I spoke to x Products at the IV8888 YT shoot he spoke about how his design was stronger than the F5. Got to looking at some older x Products launchers on YT and at knob creek and they are exactly the same as F5. I guess F5 holds the patten on the original design and they had to figure out a new way to build a can cannon. There Barrel nut plate is press fit into the tube were as the F5 looks to be threaded and pinned into place. |

UPDATE ON MY ORDER: I spoke to F5 on Saturday and he said he would air mail it Monday. I assumed he meant 2 day air or something similar. NO he freaking next day air mailed my upper to me. Left Vancouver WA yesterday at noon and should be delivered at the house here in GA by the end of the day. Fedex can ship fast when they want too! I appreciate F5 going the extra mile on the shipping. I think there online sales software is garbage and caused this issue to start with. Not F5s fault. Will keep everyone posted when I receive it. Bought the combo upper Golf ball & Can plus a bag of blanks. I sure hope the blanks are in the box because I am going to shoot this bad boy today. |

Let us know how the golf ball launcher works - I'm considering upgrading. I'm especially curious how much damage the golf balls take from launching. The classic screw-on-muzzle golf ball launchers leave a nice crater after each shot. But if this thing has an expansion chamber for the gas to slowly accelerate the golf ball instead of shooting it with a stream of hot gas, it might be much gentler and allow for a lot more recycling of the golf balls.

The owner of F5 just called me and apologized to me. Said he couldn’t air mail the blanks but the the golf ball adopter not being included was a mix up on there end and he said he was sorry. He was very nice and vowed to make everything right. Said he would mail out my golf ball adapter and blanks today. FedEx ground is 5 days so just waiting on it to arrive at this point. After speaking to Jeff I have no worries about F5 and really appreciate them going the extra mile to get me my launcher in time for a HTF shoot not this weekend but next. Seems to be a great guy. He also hooked me up with some stickers and discount codes. |
