I'lll probably pick up one of the F5 thingies, even if the X-products version is longer (and probably better because of that). I would just like to support a real pro 2A company coming in to compete. A few thinks I have found/liked about can cannons for people getting in to one of these now: -Shoot soda cans with the lid-side-in. They are much less likely to kaboom in the tube. As in it never happens to me anymore. -The 8oz cans are moar funner to shoot because they go way further. ~130yds vs 100yds with the normal 12oz cans -Getting a leafsight and an inverted stock may look kind of weird, but it makes shooting it feel normal. Think "ghetto M79." -The recoil is pretty impressive. More than any rifle or shotgun out there minus the more exotic guns like a .50. -bring gloves and a few trash cans. View Quote F5 makes the longer one and has it in stock. Just call them and say you want the longer one. Also... I talked to them. They said the length didn't make a difference on distance it threw the can. I was interested in the longer one as well. |

Barrel length matters so much less on lower pressure stuff. Shotguns are a good example of that. View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes Quoted:

Quoted: Awesome. I will talk to them soon. I have to disagree with their findings though. I'm willing to do some side by side testing. View Quote Has anyone launched a larger can like a 16oz energy drink? They are usually the same diameter as a 12oz soda. |

During summers, I have started drinking the coors lite twisty bottles so I can fill them up with water and have less waste. |

Old school tag.
I’ve been wanting one of these boogers since the first threads started. Only thing holding me back was the price (and wanting a longer barrel). Seeing this is getting me wound up all over again. Standing by hoping for info on long vs. short barrel affect on projectile range. Skillets has put in a whole lotta good work already. Reusing the twist top aluminum beer bottles is fricking ingenious! It’ll break my heart getting to drink the beer and then refill the ammo instead of just throwing a can away! |

It's some weird chinese import thing @Miles_Urbanus found in the original can cannon thread. Maybe he still has the lead. View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes Quoted:

Just tossing it out there. |

For those interested, your local Walmart may have this sack of 18 inexpensive ChiCom generic tennis balls for $8.66.

Wrap your can in a plastic grocery bag or drop the lid to a Skoal can in the tube prior to the can. Works like a wad in a muzzle loader and adds LOTS of distance to the launch.

Now I want one of these even more, but I've got nowhere to shoot it...

Wish I had seen this earlier- I stopped by Academy at lunch time, bought 24 balls for $18. But, I also have a few friends that play tennis, so I should be able to get some used balls free.
Tracking shows my F5 cannon delivering Monday. Too late to celebrate Independence Day, but never to late to celebrate AMERICA! |

Yours Truly shooting a coke can launched from the can cannon. This was a demo at the Acusport show in Fort Worth a few years ago. 80+ MPH so you have to get on it pretty quick.

Glad to see this starting to take off again. Bloopin' cans is fun, and it has utility if you have imagination. Just sayin.
@NotanATFagent: You should edit the OP and make this into a "F...X-Products—now an F5 can launcher thread" To the people at F5. If you are reading you should talk to the site admins and get on this site. I will help you sell some launchers. |

Looking around the F5 website makes me think it's a front for X-products.

They are in two different states. Xproducts was in Vancouver WA.

Well... I know there was a guy in X Products who came in to do damage control after the stupid kicked off.
I wonder if F5 has any symbolic meaning. F5=equals refreshing/reloading browser. |

I liked their FB page and then wrote a message on their wall asking what their relationship is to XP. It's pending admin approval.
