Either my ‘72 Bronco or my ‘78 Thunderbird.

Probably the T-bird. 400 in², Midnight Blue, white vinyl roof, valour seats folded all the way into the backseat (they were a bitch to get certain liquids out of). I bought it new in the fall of ‘77, when I was a Junior in high school.

The memories I made in that car.

Of course I'd have to pull the heads and have hardened seats put in. Otherwise, 100% good to go. Maybe a slight retune for todays lower octane and more volatile fuels (low pressure fuel pump in the fuel line to cut down on vapor lock).

My first truck. Was a 2001 Toyota Tacoma SR5 4cyl 5 speed manual everything extended cab in silver. I’d do anything to have that truck brand new off the showroom floor. I’d keep it forever. And fuck off if you think it’s staying stock. It’s mine I’ll do with it as i please.

Edit: oh that I owned?

Fuck I don't know toss up between the 94 Miata and 93 Civic. 05 Elise gets an honorable mention, but mine was basically new when I owned it. No mods definitely pushes the Civic down the list though. I guess the Miata, I loved that car.

1995 Bronco XLT black.

1994 Caprice 9C1 burgundy.

I bought the Bronco at 36,000 miles and sold it (with issues) to my brother around 150,000. The Caprice I got at auction from a friend's PD (was the chief's car) with about 120,000 and sold it to my brother with 170,000 after I blew a tranny.

Guess which one of us is better at fixing cars

I owned them at the same time too. The best time of my life. Married with kids now so the Caprice makes sense as it's easier to get five people in that vs the Bronco.

I even installed identical head units so I wouldn't have remember which buttons did what

Meh, I'll just keep what I got thanks. 17 mustang GT performance pack. Nothing I had before is cooler or faster than what I have now. Not the 68 Mstang, 69 Ranger, 82 Celica, 06 Tacoma, beater Buick.

I would kill to have again the chance to buy back my Dads 67 Galaxie 500. I could nave gotten it back in 93 for $1500. Still all original and in great shape. He basically gave it to a nephew who needed a car and I was given first opportunity to get it back when he sold.

This is a rough thread.

"From The Past" implies currently owned vehicles are a no go. That's a shame because I'm quite fond of my current F-150 and my '94 Miata, but also because my list of previous vehicles isn't nearly as interesting as you old guys.

My options to choose from would include, in no particular order:
1st gen Chevy Astro conversion van

2nd gen Chevy Astro AWD
7th gen F-150 single cab long bed 2WD
Late model Jeep XJ Sport
1st gen Titan base model
8th gen Civic LX-S sedan
3rd gen Mazda3

While I have varying levels of fond memories of all of those, I'm not really sure which I'd choose in this scenario or why.

I made exactly one payment on it before letting a "friend" behind the wheel. I was in the passenger seat. We came around a shallow curve, spun & hit a minivan head on doing at least 70.
One would think that I would have learned from this that drinking & driving wasn't going to work any more.

My 1979 Trans Am. I special ordered it with the Pontiac engine and manual transmission. Midnight Navy Blue with tan interior and gold accents, glass T top.. I had to wait 6 month to get it delivered. There probably weren't ten like it in the whole country.

I'm going to keep my Lincoln MKS. 355hp, and I have heat and air piped into my seats. I can literally air condition my balls in the summer, and heat them nice and toasty in the winter.

My old 84 Olds can suck my cool ass nuts.

On the other hand. If trucks were on the table. I would love to have my old 78 F150 back.
