P365 on my ankle right now as a backup gun. It’s awesome. It’s a flat shooter even with hot duty ammo. Good trigger, SMALL, accurate, etc. If you need a tiny 9mm it is the one to get.
If it was going to be my main off duty piece I’d get the P365XL. I’ve looked at the Macro, not really interested as it’s only marginally smaller than my primary off duty gun (Glock 19). |

Size and Comfort: P365 or XL
25+ Years of reliability: G26 Great Ergos: HK VP9SK I own all 3 plus ton others (PM9, PPS, G43, Shield 2.0 etc) the above are what I would recommend. Every person has their own criteria of what’s important like size, reliability and feel. The P365 is my mainstay with the G26 Gen5 and Shadow Systems MR920 and a few others used occasionally. Any of the above will suit you well. Go to the range and rent what interests you. |

Glock 26
If I'm buying a sub compact, I want the ability to stuff fun sticks in it like my main CCW, the 19.5 |

Picked up a used Gen 1 Shield a few months ago. Prior owner put Big Dot sights on it and added an Apex trigger. I'm good.

|
Sig 365.
First though, ask yourself this: Are you going to add so much shit to it (optics, brakes, extended mags, larger grip, etc) to it that it basically moves out of the subcompact range? If so, you already know what you should do. |

Springfield Hellcat. Because, feel the love. ?? Attached File

Great trigger, best I've ever felt on a striker fired gun. Uses any accessories made for any of the others in the shield lineup.Optics ready, 14 rds at the ready hard to beat for roughly $500. |

Shield Plus has entered the chat... Handgun Hero comparison... they're closer than I realized. The S&W is a little chonkier but still, close. |

If it weren't for the retarded rudimentary Makarov-style mag change, a p-64 with that pinned barrel would be sofa king awesome.

There are these moments when, as enthusiasts, we want something different… we convince ourselves there must be a better option than the purchase made by every uninformed idiot off the street can’t be right when they buy the same gun as everyone else. We want to not get on the bandwagon.
But, in this case the mob is right. There were some teething issues, but the P365 is the best sub compact option. Even hipster CZ fanboys like myself can see that sig owns the subcompact category at the moment. -Mike |

I chose Glock G48. Of the options listed I've shot the Sig and Springfield. I'd buy the Springfield. I can shoot it equally as well as the Sig and I'm not sure I'd trust a Sig to carry. IMHO.

Quoted: Carried a 1st gen Shield till I picked this up. Comparing them I still trying to figure out how they stuffed 13 rds in that grip. It does not feel noticeably different. The fiber optic sights are sweet. View Quote lotta wasted space. and the gen 1 was almost DS anyways... doesnt take very many mms to change the geometry from 1single staggered column to totally twin side by side column...the magic is in the tower. i think this is where sig got the idea from, or at least from kel tec way back in day. i still dont think the keltec was as thin as these micros though... once again, back to the magic single stack tower transition through the trigger bar ears or whatever its called |

CZ is clearing stuff out too, rebates on the p07 and p10s, not same market, i think they gettin ready to come out with a REAL micro competitor, not that silly p10m or whatever, single staack, no slide release, aborthioihn |

Quoted: Get the shield plus kit with night sights, four mags, a first aid kit, and a go bag for $549, its a hell of a deal and a great little handgun. I would not bother with the CSX, it's heavier and has a worse trigger than the Shield Plus. View Quote $449 here...... Poke Here |

Bump… well, looks like I may be getting a CSX after all that. Dealer was having a very hard time finding 365x’s or Shield 2 Optics Ready pistols but was able to find a CSX.
Side note, who’s got a good price on spare mags? |

Shield 9MM.
Only non-CZ pistol I've shot that shoots like a CZ. Not interested in a gun that shoot hand sized groups at 5 to 7 yds. I was sighting in/adjusting the laser (never had one with a laser on it before) and shooting 3 shot groups, making an adjustment and shooting another three shot group. Not the best I'd hope to be able to do with it but not bad. 115 grain hollow points. Attached File |

GD: Desert Eagle Anything is a subcompact if you're brave enough P365 is the best answer here, it has the most aftermarket, and Springfield is still on my shit list for their rent seeking anti-2nd amendment lobbying. Also, I'd rather not buy a Croatian pistol with an American rollmark, from people that enjoy the market confusion. |

Wow, I'm actually a fan of the CMR and PMR30. This will go on my radar.

Glock 26.
With the plus 2 mag extension. 13 rounds, Compatibility with g19, 17, mags, etc. I just don’t find 3mm or whatever less width worth it for a single stack, Or one of the new wonder mag guns enough of an advantage. Got my first 26 the first month they came out. |
|
Spent a bunch of time at the fun store with the Hellcat, CSX and the P365 checking triggers and doing mini drills to see how naturally they come on-target.
Came home with the CSX because that's what I special ordered, but my previous hangup with the Hellcat is nonexistant, and you get more for the money with it and I am going to get one hopefully next year. Comes with either XS Big Dots out of the box or a very good facsimile, a light rail, a thumb safety (my woobie, don't hate) and an optic cut. But hey, the CSX is a good gun too, and it comes with a killer box if you get the "shooters kit". Got to get 'er out to the range now! |
