Locally, SCI Systems, Inc. and Intergraph Corporation. Both founded here in the 60's, and each would eventually hit Fortune 500 status. At one point SCI's manufacturing division was the largest consumer of IC's in the world. Intergraph owned the CAD industry in the 80's and early 90's.
