So we just got swept by the Brewers at PNC. That hurts, but not as much as being outscored in the series 28-3.
Top of the 9th, Nogowski pitching, because at this point why not, and throwing just about nothing but Eephus pitches with the very occasional attempt at a fastball. Current Mood:

I'm seeing Sherzer and Turner to the Dodgers is pretty much a done deal. I don't understand why we would trade Turner. The next few years watching the Nats rebuild are going to be rough.

Marcel Ozuna's felony assault charges were dropped by the DA yesterday after reviewing body cam footage from the arresting officers. Apparently the footage didn't match the initial reports, no idea what really happened but he isn't up against felony charges now. Doubtful he will return to play for the Braves, or any team this season since there are still misdemeanor assault charges pending. Crazy relationship those 2 had, she was arrested last year for assaulting him, now they are petitioning for divorce.
ETA: for those not familiar with the case he was arrested for allegedly body slamming his wife against a wall and choking her with police as witnesses. |

If PNC had zero attendance, Nutting still makes about 70 million a year between broadcast rights and various licensing and advertising agreements. Total income is about 300m and total outlay is around 100m between payroll and operations and expenses. |
