Forgot to get the UPC but the Mason City, IA store has at least 19 boxes of Federal #8 dove loads clearanced to $3.50 a box. Should be good ammo for backyard target practice now that most dove seasons are closed and few if any trap leagues are shooting.

Anybody else have issues with their Vista Outdoors Visa GC from the savage 212 and 220 promotion?
I tried to use it at the gas station the other night and the display at the pump prompted me to see the cashier. Went in and they tried to use it but it continued to ask for a PIN # even after I chose to use it as a credit card (per the instructions). |

My rebate just got approved for the Savage rifles. I think you can look the rebates up on the promotion pages to see which ones are which.
I also had the rebate cards declined the other day trying to use them because I didn't have a pin number. |

It isn't Walmart but for Midwest members Mills Fleet Farm in Mason City IA has several models of Crimson Trace lasers on clearance for half price or lower. Rhe model for round butt J frames is 89.99, down from 189.

Looks like Dexter search results are fixed for the most part.
I think there are still some stores missing though. Epping NH doesn’t show up at all for any searches. |

PSA for those going to get out their layaway items
Went and got my Weatherby out of layaway last night. Took over an hour with 3 managers. Guys were nice and very knowledgeable. 1st problem, when getting a gun out of layaway it asks them to scan the “firearm cart”. No one knows what that is or means. It won’t let them continue. The fix is to void the layaway, refund it, and sell me the items outright. They waive the $10 cancellation fee. This creates... 2nd problem, the Weathby Deluxe has now dropped out of Walmart’s inventory system and won’t ring up having been on Layaway since August. They put it back into inventory and scan it which creates... 3rd problem, the Weatherby Deluxe now rings up at full price of $650 or so. I put it on layaway for $349. They have to manually alter the price, which requires bypassing things in the register and another manager to sign off on it. ITS A DAMN GOOD THING I STILL HAD MY RECEIPT! Apparently it intentionally makes it hard for them to alter prices on certain items, like guns. This same exact problem also happens with the Bushnell binoculars I put on layaway. Finally after several manual overrides, they checked me out for the price I put the stuff on layaway for. Nice guys and I appreciated them taking care of me but. Holy shit. What a cluster fuck. Walmart’s gun sales and layaway system is fucked. I would never EVER buy a gun from them for retail or even CLOSE to retail. The headache isn’t worth it. Hundreds of dollars under retail are the ONLY saving grace here. I can’t imagine having those problems last night happen with some less computer savvy older sales folks I’ve run into. They’d probably tell me to get fucked. The above problem explains why those items stopped dropping in price. They got deleted from inventory all together! My guess is due to the length of time they were in layaway, they’ve probably done inventory in the mean time. One of the managers, in trying to figure out what happened, mentioned to another one that “the layaway guns aren’t scanned periodically like the rest are”. TL;DR Walmart’s gun sales/layaway system is hot garbage. |

It may be different in other areas but our local store does not anymore. I know the manager of the sporting goods and I asked him about this quite a while back and he said they don't anymore. Corporate has decided to make the determination of what the stores should stock and special orders were put to a stop. He may only order to restock what corporate allows the store to have in inventory. Great guy, shot quite a bit of pistol and trap with him over the past 8 years or so and I don't have any reason to disbelieve him
