I had the little nub that holds the floating sear lever break off on a Gen 1 trigger pack.
Sent it back to Fostec and they welded/soldered it back on. Runs great as a recreational range toy. |

If your rear cap has any small holes you could replicate something like this mac11 suppressor collar for the gemtec viper
I have been toying with making a similar collar from a flat band of stainless and a single tension screw to draw it tight on the barrel. Then it would have a small pin that interfaces with the rear of the can to prevent it from rotating loose. I have had issues with direct threads coming loose over a long course of fire on a precision rifle :/ accuracy goes to hell but luckily I never had a baffle strike. |

Does this happen with 5.56 as much as 9mm ARs? Seems like 9mm's have had more rep of beating up parts than 5.56.
I love my Fostech trigger in 5.56 - I'd hate to have it end up like that! They are not cheap. |

My fostech started doing 2 rd bursts in semi mode after ~ 300rds. Took quite a few emails for them to replace it. Durability is definitely a problem with their poorly made crap.

Well I don't know exactly how man rounds but it was the same trigger I was having problems left with last time. Except this time didn't have a single hang up besides failure to feed due to links being too tight. I dont get it. Not that I want it to fail but it was like a whole new trigger compared to last time.
I'll take more pictures tomorrow but this is all I have for right now. I shot this plus another (2) 250.? round pouches.  Attached File |
