I live in the panhandle of FL.  You are all correct. I love it here from October through March.  July and August are the absolute worst.  When I retire, I'm going to Canada during the summer, drive 10mph under the speed limit everywhere I go while there, and enact my revenge for the years of putting up with the snowbirds.

He actually was the one who taught me to sharpen by hand but I think it is getting hard for him coordination wise so I touched it up as well. Smaller than it looks in the pic (blade is ~2"). Made in Japan. Decent quality for a $50 knife.

Short term.. let's see if the Maui opp. works out or not

Loosely, on an adventure to find out where our new home is.

We sold our house in Washington and want to move somewhere that has a lower cost of living and friendlier politics.

We're going to look hard at Tennessee, but I'm hoping Idaho prices fall because it's closer to the family. We're planning on visiting family in Florida, and maybe a trip up to Williamsburg, VA (I've watched too many of the videos from there on YouTube. Lol) we're torn on spending time in the southwest because of the summer weather, but there's some places that we'd like to see while we're out and about.

We're budgeting to be able to travel around for the summer to see the country and spend some time in the places that we're interested in living.

here you can see the compound grind:
View Quote

Handle looks good for gripping, with a protruding end (unless you have Archie Hand's) for reverse strikes/heel strikes.
The finger groove up front looks like it protects the hand but allows dexterity for handling and working the grip while moving.
The jimping on the back looks good but without being sharp or annoying.
Blade shape and length are good.
The compound grind is a flex move for you IMO, as it's subtle, but adds to the cost to make, with no benefit that I can see other than aesthetics (which is a good part of the artistry involved in your profession).

My only suggestion would be to ditch the compound grind and pass the savings onto the buyer and sell as many as you can.
Maybe offer a compound grind as an optional upgrade to reduce the initial cost.

Otherwise, looks very good IMO.

IIRC, those are the ARX design and they are supposed to do really well.
Light for caliber weights appears to be standard on those, (like 90 gr for 9mm).
If they feed reliably in the P365, (due to short barrel length and bullet shape), I'd say go for it.

It didnt feel bad to me, but it was slicker than I preferred, showed finger prints really well, (like almost highlighted them) and the portholes acted like funnels for pocket lint into the knife.

I loved the RX.

I learned to drive in my grandpa's Datsun 210 4 door. That's almost the same thing, right?

My parents owned a couple of the Datusn 210B's...
Dad had a green one 2 door, 2-seater, and sold it off to buy a 2 door, 4-seater once they had my brother and I. His was blue.
Mom had a red Datsun 210 wagon that was red.
Mom's red wagon got smoked in a traffic accident, and Dad kept the blue 210 for a number of years.
It had 310k miles on it when dad sold it for $350. He had changed the oil, and replaced two starters, a single alternator, and the clutch twice, (think he did the brakes 2-3 times can't remember). He sold it when we were stationed in Hawaii and got orders to come back to the mainland in 1990. It would have cost more to ship the car back from Hawaii than it was worth. The car had developed a surface rust pattern on the driver's side door about the size and shape as a manhole cover when dad sold it.
I saw the car when I went through Hickam again in 1996 as Marine. It was driving by the MAC Terminal...

Those cars didnt handle corrosion from salt, (ocean salt air or midwest salt on winter roads) real well, but they ran like tops and were easy to work on.
If they still sold them, I'd buy one happily.

We're budgeting to be able to travel around for the summer to see the country and spend some time in the places that we're interested in living.

if you're in my neck of the woods, hit me up I'll buy the beer!

That'd be awesome. I'll definitely keep your offer in mind if we get through there.
