Hawk looks cool.
The camera works fine, might wanna pay attention to cropping the photo's some so you dont include things you dont want others to see or could be distracting from the image.
I dont have a foot fetish so yours dont do anything for me.
But I'm sure there's some canucki-stani lass out there who would swoon over your prehensile toes...

All jokes aside, Star Scream really really has a great eye for color composition and photo composition. Pay attention to his photo's and see what he does. He's usually minimalistic in pics and doesnt have alot of clutter. Subject matter is often off set somewhat from the center of the picture, or drawing the eye to specific parts of the subject matter. He uses colors that both compliment and contrast with his subject matter frequently so the image doesnt look too "busy".

I'm not sure he's doing it intentionally at this point, it's probably just instinctive for him. But if he was forced to take pictures of subjects other than knives, he'd probably be doing the same thing.

You will see lots of idiots riding like idiots.
Let them be idiots. Expect to be cut off while driving with that many people, the number of idiots will higher. So give yourself room to stop safely when the Darwin contestants come racing in front of you and then have to halt suddenly because of something in the road.

Hahaha! Roads are going to be fucked, tiny towns crammed to overflowing, good luck finding any place to park an RV, etc. Same tip I gave to WIC, though, if in Hill City, get lunch at the Alpine Inn. And get dessert. If it works with your timing, get breakfast at the Aladdin Cafe in Aladdin, WY, though it is a tiny bit out of the way. The steakhouse and the bar next door in Beulah, WY are very good. The Vore Buffalo Jump is pretty interesting.

If you go into Deadwood, the current saloon #10 is not the original location and not where wild bill was shot. I forget the name of the bar in the correct location but I'm sure Google can find it. The whole town burned down though so none of it is original to that anyway. The midnight star has a bunch of stuff from Costner's movies (costumes, etc.) and is neat to see if you're nearby anyway but probably not worth going just for that. Jake's (restaurant on the third story of the midnight star) is world class fine dining, seriously, but I'm guessing they're fully booked during the rally.

Custer state park is worth a day for sure. Many years ago we spent several hours helping a park ranger get a bull elk untangled from a fence he'd unsuccessfully tried to jump, gave it some water by hand from a Tupperware, etc, only to find once it finally was able to try to stand that it had broken it's leg and had to be shot.

Yeah I'd have cropped the feet out and moved the focus . It's not bad because his hand and the axe are similar distances from the camera but it leads to me spending too much time looking at his nails because there's a lot of information there.

Most things I take pictures of are moving fast. My kid, aircraft and weather. Knives are different.

It's the campground situation that was causing the issue. We have it sorted out now though. We'll be 4 nights near deadwood, then probably picking up and heading east to somewhere around the petrified gardens for a week-ish to explore the area.

I fully expect to see a bunch of people riding like tards. I drive like a grandma while I'm towing, so as long as someone doesn't run into us, we should be ok. My luck says that a 1% will ride a wheelie into the side of the trailer, get hurt and all his buddies will blame me though. Lol

100% this.

I had a girlfriend in high school, a couple short relationships in college, was mostly a hermit in law school, just a few dates here and there after that, didn't meet my now wife until 29 and it just clicked. It'll happen when it happens, just be open to it when it does.

Kiddo and I drove past a new Brazilian steakhouse that opened recently and he wants to go

I said "want a new knife or Brazilian steakhouse?" As the last time I went to a Brazilian Steakhouse it was 80 bucks a head and I don't know what they charge. He said he wants the meats.

Not sure about his priorities.

I'm working on putting all vowels and half of consonants through my nose.

The last time I went to one it was way too expensive, the meat was just OK, and the rest of the food was typical crappy buffet food.

I don't know what this means.

*shrugs* Makes sense to me

But very much this.
I didnt meet the women I married until I was 32. She was definitly worth the wait.
Put yourself out there. Be patient, be yourself, be authentic and you'll find her.
If there are things you dont like or want to improve about yourself then work on them.

Lets say you suck at talking to folk in person (no saying you are as I dont know you from Adam). Understandable, I work with one such person. You aint going to get good at it by sitting alone in your house playing Xbox. Get out there and mingle with folk and learn how to interact.
Out of shape? Start working out, might meet someone at the gym.
Just to clarify, I'm not saying be someone else or change who you are but rather strive to be the best version of yourself that you can.

We support each other not only in knife addiction, but in other aspects of life as well!

Great advice right here.

If by helping in knife addiction you mean showing us more expensive knives we should buy, then I agree.
