Being there after hours in the non public areas was like a free Willy experience. We had some really cool hands on instruction and projects. Some of that involved live sea turtles that got lost and ended past the cape into the gulf of Maine. Imagine being in a massive facility at night (most lights off so somewhat dark) with huuuuge tanks everywhere filled with exotic fishes and sea turtles. All you hear are the pumps and flowing water, and you can just sit back and watch the turtles swim around… very relaxing. |

I still enjoyed myself generally.
As you know, there is a point where something can be very well done, excellent quality, but if it is not to your particular taste, not different enough to make you say, oh, wow, it’s hard to get excited. The debris sandwich gave me pause, it was very good, and the hotel’s biscuits and gravy left me wanting more. My wife had some very good seafood. I was so overwhelmed by oyster bars everywhere to the point that I thought a cooler full of water was another damn oyster bar until o got up to it. Otherwise, I have been very spoiled in life and had some amazing foods around the world and prepared by my wife. But that just means the bar keeps getting pushed higher for me to say wow. |
