Yeah you'll only do the wet towel once (or twice if you're a slow learner like me)!

Potato or egg (or both) salad, super extra basic: potatoes/eggs, Mayo, mustard, pickles/relish, onion, salt, pepper, dash of vinegar. Finely chopped celery gives a nice crunch and little bursts of fresh flavor. Basically any green herbs you have around are probably going to be good in it. A little spice can be added with fresh peppers, cayenne, flakes, or even a dash of hot sauce.

No mayo in this house Yes, I know it's in potato/egg salad which I like. We definitely don't have any green herbs just laying around. We're not much of a cook-a-meal-every-night family. Once she goes back to school her schedule is always crazy so she's usually home late(r) most nights.

I often tell her that her taste in men is not great.

An orange liquer like Triple Sec, Cointreau or Grand Marnier, and margarita mix.
Some will add a shot of either beer, or orange juice to a margarita.

some kind of fabric as the others are suggesting is probably the answer. The fabric can wipe any butta off the handle and be washed. The silicone protects from heat, but just gets extra slippery with butta.

Yes, orange.

Margarita mix is just simple syrup and lime juice, but over processed and fake.

A truly traditional margarita is something like three parts tequila, one part lime juice, one part triple sec. Simple syrup is usually added because people are wussies.

Minimal we like is just fresh lime juice, blanco (or mezcal or whatever) and agave syrup. An orange liqueur (e.g. Cointreau) is technically called for though.

Mineragua is a good alternative to topo chico. You can get it in liter bottles too. I’ve seen it 5 liters for $5 before. But the plastic bottles sort of taste different than a cold glass bottle. It goes well with tequila and lime which is ranch water.

How are you liking that Walther? Every time I see it I hate those CAT tracks on the slide but I like the look of the gun. Might have to get one if I can find a good price.

I will have to watch the bartender next time. I only get them at one place. I feel like she does the mezcal and then just pours in a mix from one of their own containers. For all I know the orange is in there. But it tastes like it is just sours. Not very sweet or orangey.

I need to try some with Mezcal - looking around it is a popular choice for a bit of smokiness (almost always a good thing IMO).
