Okay I see now. You're both on about a different post than the one I actually quoted. I was talking about the 1911 / CRK pic. I'm like what color, what coating, what pattern lol.

I've been looking for the right 1911 - the Tisas are supposed to be really nice for the price (hence more confusion) and I considered it strongly but I was wanting something more upscale with a nice blue.

I really liked it. Well made, felt good in the hand, good action. Not so sure about DLC coating, but I like the flavor it adds to the handle.

For turkey "pepperoni" it wasn't too bad. Provolone and extra sharp cheddar was the main attraction.

Spyderco uses DLC for some coated blades. Seems to hold up fine from what I’ve read. Not 100% sold on the aesthetics though. I’m guessing it’s going to be ~$700?

How's the negra? I love the regular one and I see Bezosmart has them at reasonable prices. Might order the 3 pack with regular, habanero, and negra when this one starts getting low.

Looks like $500. If you are ok with the regular handles they go for about $400 on the secondary.

The negra is also a spiced (as you know, not hot but spices) flavor but it is a flavor you might find a bit different since it has a soy sauce type taste due to it being the traditional Mexican seafood type hot sauce that incorporates soy. It’s also a bit thicker. The heat isn’t anything more than the regular version - it’s just the flavor of the spices.

Overall it’s good and has some fun flavors not found in normal Mexican hot sauce sold in the USA, nonetheless my preference is the regular flavor.

Don't do this to me. I was thinking of spending some of my bonus on a UTC w/o the front serrations. Not sure if I wanna get back into the 1911 game though.

Edible
Needed some black olives, but I was out. Still pretty good for just a home oven.

I "need" to break down and buy a pizza oven, but hate to drop that much $ on a one trick pony.

If I'm completely honest, it's actually decent pepperoni. Not as spicy as I would've liked, but pretty damn tasty for pepp-faux-roni.

The more spices/seasonings involved, the less important the meat is, in a general sense. I can see pepperoni being an OK use case there.

My wife likes ground turkey and uses it in a lot of different things. I don't mind it as in ingredient in things (taco salad, soups, pasta sauce, and the like).
