Fuck cancer. Our dentist has been out getting stomach cancer treated. My wife was in today for a checkup with the substitute. She asked what was going on at the desk and they informed her he just had his stomach removed. Nice guy, low 60's, was doing really well up until last year - I can't even imagine carrying on after that. He's planning to be back at work in May.

Ah, female driver. Good call leaving extra room.

My wife drives a matchbox car. If I have the truck out, there's actually more room for her to get out but for whatever reason she won't try to back out unless I pull the truck back in or park it on the street.
My car will only ever be parked next to or in front of my wife's (assuming she needs to back out). I'll move both of them if that is not the case.

I can't fit in my wifes car. I need to sit in the back seat to not get smushed up driving.

Try a different pic. Chunk of Catalpa I rough turned today. Was as wet and raw as the Walnut piece only this one was stringy too!
Smells like spices when you cut it. I need to find a used microwave so I can dry these things quicker!

Very nice. That's the perfect blue for a knife. I've still never owned a tanto but like the way they look.

I will say, that short line that goes toward the pivot should have been half the length of the parallel one to the right, or all the way to the edge, or stopped at the intersection, or the distance between the intersecting lines. Not sure what the thought process could have been to make it stubby like that, but it appears they went with making it the length of the end on the second one over.

I've wondered that myself. And, it's the only tanto I own, but I do like it thus far.

Unfortunately, it's not actually blue. Clear skies and massive windows in that house did something funny to the color.

If I were more confident in my home-brew anodizing abilities, I would definitely try it though.

I have no other OTF to compare it to, but it feels very solid and I like the action on it. The blade is not as sharp as I expected, but Im a noob, so might be par for the course with these or OTS?

I also grabbed another Kershaw Scallion, but in blue this time, since I had Amazon points from Christmas shopping. I still think the Scallion is my favorite knife, this being my second one.

I dont have cool pics like you guys do in here, but heres what I got. Are there knife pic rules like GD had dinner pic rules?

StarScream is the OP and has color contrast with photo's down pat.
He makes the rest of us work harder.
Except WIC...because WIC just doesn't care.

Scallions are a recurve blade and are tougher to sharpen.

Sorry to hear that man.
Glad the family is stepping up and helping each other out.
All too often people become self-centered and start looking for what is easiest for them and/or what benefits them the most.
