We were buying that yogurt ranch because it didn't have soybean oil. I decided to check just now, and sure enough, soybean oil, and more of it than the yogurt. Had a guy from the UK request a knife today. Looks like 3" is the max blade length they can carry over there. I need to do some more research on how exactly they measure the blade length but my interpretation at this point is that it's from tip of the blade to the closest part of handle. Measured that way, my model 2s are 2.990"-2.995" at least the sample size of 3 that I have siting on my desk. Anyone familiar with how they measure blade length over on that side of the pond?

Measured along the sharpened edge of the blade my Model 2 is ~2.75". I've asked the guy for his input. I don't want to send him something that gets him in a bind. He's somewhat of a self-proclaimed EDC advocate in the UK so he should be familiar with whatever laws are in place. I can always grind the blade a little shorter to make Bobby law happy. Ultimately, it's up to him to make sure it's kosher. |
