That seems like one of those combinations that would either be great or gross. No in-between.

Like this....

Jalapeño cheddar smoked sausage..... And kimchi..

Hint.... It's fucking delicious

Oh. I see. You got yours before they implemented the test.

I thought it was kinda goofy they required a video of me doing arm curls until I got one, now I understand.

ETA: It is a good mug. Big, but good. You have good taste.

Speaking of which, I have come extremely close to buying another mug you own, been in my cart multiple times. They were out for a long time, but just got some back in relatively recently.

So....

Costco didn't have Whistle Pig again. Went to my other store. They had it, but no longer on sale, too expensive for me.

Was going to walk away when I noticed right above the Whistle Pig there was a whiskey I didn't recognize but it had a little sign saying "Wine Spectator Top 100 in the world" Thought that was kinda impressive for something I hadn't heard of so I pick it up. Rye. OK, that's what I was looking for. Cambridge, Wisconsin. Interesting, didn't know there was a distiller over there. Then i read the tag on the bottle. Aged a minimum of three years in American Oak barrels, finished in oak barrels from the rare oak trees of the Limousin forest of France. Intriguing. Neat bottle. Decent price. I have liked the other Wisconsin beverages I have found recently. Been a long time since I had straight rye, why not.

Well...the aroma and taste suggest if I flicked a lighter after drinking some, my breath would ignite. Flavor, was very interesting. Not bad, not too strong, just too rye for my tastes. I like the rye mixed in as a flavor with in my whiskey, but not as the only flavor.

Lol.

I've been looking for something else cool but nothing is jumping out at me.

That mug is so pertinent right now, we all should be sporting one.

Same here. The ones I found that I like are long gone, I am just late to the game.

I like the more coffee less commies one but find myself asking "is it me."

Come June/July there should be more options. I just need to find some patience, though I'm not sure if I misplaced it or if I never had any...

Maybe due to the higher proof, was it a strong burn or burn and strong flavor

I've never heard of it either.

I had to go take another couple pulls.

No burn really, or maybe a little at the back end. Just pronounced flavor really. At the same time, very clean on the palate. I tried adding a little water earlier, opened up the aroma a little more, didn't change the flavor much. Maybe I just need more time with it.

No pics tonight, but I recently bought a four pack of Victorinox paring knives as cheap, wife proof kitchen users. Very happy with them so far for six dollar knives. Ordered one of the chef knives to try out also, worth a try for forty bucks.

My Lt at the time was a good guy, but didnt speak any Japanese and the RSO either didnt or pretended he did not speak English. My Lt was reduced to making "pew pew" noises and mimicking a machine gun and a 25 mm cannon. He wasnt doing a great impression and I could see the RSO had a look on his face like "WTF is this idiot doing?"

I let it go for a bit and then ran up, introduced myself, asked him what he wanted to know, and then told him what caliber weapons we shooting on the range. I told him we had been cleared to shoot those platforms on the range, but if there was a mistake, we'd be happy to move to the correct range if he preferred. The RSO said everything was fine, and we could continue shooting, thanked me for my time and left.

I turned and looked at my Lt, and told him we were good to go and started walking off.

Lt got annoyed and said "Cpl Maxx, you never told me you spoke Japanese!"
"You never asked, Sir."

Another time we were down in Roppongi at a club, one of my buddies who fancied himself a ladies man asked me to teach him some Japanese to break the ice with the local girls in the night clubs. He said he wanted to say, "Hello my name is Tony, what's your name?"
I taught him something close to that.
He was puzzled after two different girls just laughed at him and walked away. He came back to me to ensure he was saying it right.

Since he was my buddy, I listened to what he was saying, made the appropriate corrections to his pronunciation, and then had him repeat it several times until he got it exactly right, then I sent back out to try again.

This girl spoke English and after she was done laughing at him, she asked him he was running around telling women his name was Tony and he had a small penis.

Tony was pissed, and but it broke the ice with the girl and he had a chance to show her what he had so it all worked out in the end.

Fun times when you're the one who understand's what's being said.

Haha.

She's probably told that story a thousand times

I hope so. It's been 20 years and I hope it's made the rounds of the clubs in Roppongi.

I've never SV'd skirt steak. It cooks really quickly as it's so thin you'd think it a poor candidate.

I usually vacuum seal it in a citrus marinade and make it into Carne asada. It'll be interesting to see your results
