I'm not an expert on the subject, but as I understand it, POTUS certainly can order a nuclear strike. When he issues the order, all that's left to be done is to confirm that said order is authentic. He's the commander-in-chief for a reason, and that reason is not to offer suggestions.

It would be awesome if Trump gave an entirely unrelated Oval Office address to the nation and sitting there on the desk was a comedy red button,but he never mentions North Korea or nukes a single time.

I'm glad someone is finally there when an American First attitude, and he's delivering. ETA: We were the first, and only, nation to deliver not one but two nuclear weapons. In order to end (in my opinion) the second greatest conflict the world had ever seen. Just because everyone else has nukes doesn't mean our threat isn't there. I'm glad we're standing up for ourselves again. (After saving the modern world twice)

They keep making a big deal about how it must be a "legal" order and how the military would refuse to carry out an "illegal" order from the President, as if it would have to be run through the Supreme Court or something.
Yeah, I'd imagine if the President said "C'mon boys, let's nuke Nashville today." there would be some discussion, but other than that... |

Then trotting out some retired shill to say that the "Military would stop Trump" if he illegally ordered them to blow up the world...
