Who makes the nice ones?  Now that I'm living the beach life, I need some more.  I have two but they're just ok.

What price range do you consider nice? I think Walmart had them for $9.99 example of pricing differences http://alohashirts.com/

It kind of depends where you live. The shirt you would want for San Diego and New Orleans are two different things.

The 5.11 Hawaiian grenade shirt sucked. I tried it on at the Sacramento outlet location. I’m still looking for a tactical but not tactical looking Hawaiian shirt for non recreational wear

I'm in the panhandle of Florida.  I don't wear Walmart clothes.  I've had one Tommy Bahama shirt that was real fragile.

Target has some pretty inexpensive ones. Bealls has some pretty nice ones.

The Walmart ones are made of Rayon and shrink really bad when you wash them.

I stopped buying Tommy Bahama as they are made in China.
And I loved their shirts, high quality.
I wont buy ANYTHING made in china anymore.
Its an ethical thing.

I got a couple of the Amazon ones that were 100% cotton, which is essential to comfort here where we have hot swampy conditions much of the year.

I heard the dryer buzzer and my wife said they were my dress shirts for work. Imagine my surprise when I found a 100% silk hawaiian shirt in the mix.

Reyn Spooner, Kahala, Tori Richard. Tommy Bahama are OK, if you like silk.
I collect Spooners. They are well made and last forever, especially the one’s made of “ Spooner Cloth” .
I have a few from the 90’s that have been worn steadily and still are like new.

Bonobos Rivera line is what I buy. Quality and when you catch them on sale, they’re reasonable.....Still would love to find a Magpul Hula one in my size.

Reyn spooner is what my family wears to work. They aren't really beach and drinking shirts, more like office with air conditioning shirts.

I've seen hilo hatties around but never actually bought one.

Are you doing anything besides office work in these shirts?

Paradise Found.....they make the official Magnum, P.I. shirts that were worn on the show.

ETA: Made in Hawai'i, too.

Now, that depends on the material and the cut. 100% cotton is great for all weather, beach and drinking.
Spooner cloth for a little cooler weather, work, and AC environments.
I wear both here in Tucson, all year round.

Not nearly as bad as polyester sticking to you in the swamp.  Cotton is the most comfortable fabric available for the climate here.

Yep, this is the brand I like.

I usually try and find the vintage ones on Ebay, which have 'tailored in Hawaii' on the label.

Obviously I do that but not everyone can afford to visit Hawaii. I’ve surfed the Caribbean but it’s been decades since I was last there. I figure East Coast and Europeans tend to stick to the Caribbean while Japanese and West Coast will fly out to Hawaii, plus 14 day quarantine for Hawaii due to Coronavirus, so some people may have to order online or get one somewhere outside the islands. Lady in front of me at the grocery store had an HIC t shirt on last week

Original was made by Brioni but paradise found is the exact reproduction.

Great material..... I worship this shirt.

if you are gonna whine and bitch about the price.......

drive your camper and just go live on the parking lot of Maomart.....

or live a little and it's well worth it.
