Chris Evans was Johnny Storm in the fantastic four before he was Captain America.

That was the whole point. Nobody was expecting that.  The theater lost it when that happened

The RT “critics” score getting lower and lower as the audience score remains very high is a good sign.

The reason theaters will have it playing on 6 different screens isn't to fill them all up during every single showing. It's to accommodate people's work and life schedules so they have more opportunities to see the movie. The more opportunities to watch, the less likely people are to skip it altogether.

The film isn't about a transsexual BIPOC that overcomes hardship caused by white heterosexual males so the critics don't like it.

They could double down and do a F4/Avengers mashup with Evans playing both Cap and Storm.

Pay  a Peter Sellets/Strangelove homage.

There's already a new Johnny Storm coming next year in a F4 reboot for the MCU.

I really enjoyed this film. I had stopped going to MCU movies after they went hard woke, so I was not expecting much from this one. But it was very entertaining. Did anyone else catch the Red Skull's car in the Void? I will need to watch it again just to catch any easter eggs I missed first go around.

You really have to watch one of the Easter egg compilation videos on YT because I bet you could see the movie 10 times and STILL miss some shit.  The void and Happy Hogan's office were full of little bits just to make nerds go "oh!!  That's that thing from that one time!"

One nerd even pointed out that the dead giant Antman is probably from the third Ant/Wasp movie when all the antmen are trying to retrieve the McGuffin and the giant one reaches out for it right when he's dematerialized.  The void Antman corpse has his arms out like he's reaching to grab something.

Maybe its doing super well in other areas, but I haven't seen anything locally approaching a packed theater for any Marvel film like we used to have for every Marvel film with maybe the exception of the last Spiderman film.

On a Saturday afternoon, in an auditorium of about 150 seats. There was me, my son, and one other middle aged dude.

Tickets were about $37 for two 3D passes. We didnt get any popcorn or drinks.

No idea, but I don’t think 1/3 of a cap shield and 2/3 of the number four is a copyrighted image.

I guess Disney kind of forced a few radical feminist and DEI scenes to be shot.  Ryan fought them hard, kept from shooting most, but did shoot a few.... only to NOT put them in the movie.  Then he mandated that they NOT be put in any special edition, extra scenes, or ANYTHING EVER.  So now Disney is fighting, and the actresses that got cut (you know... she-hulk, captain marvel, and that ugly old lady from The View) are all complaining, and I think at least one of them is suing for getting cut from the movie.   So you can thank Ryan Reynolds that it isn't a trannie bipoc dei fest...

I went and watched it again with my Brother in law yesterday.

I did catch an Easter egg when Cassondra shows up to use the mcguffin she blows Wolverine and Deadpool into a store.  After they exit the store the camera pans out and shows the name of the store as Rob Liefield’s Just Feet.

For those unaware, Liefield was always criticized and made fun of because he couldn’t draw feet properly.
