ill say 2 things. 1st is that i could care about Delaware just about as i do with the president. 2nd thing, id rather take my POS duty issue Glock 21 over the P320. just my $0.02

Gun business games.
S&W came in here and basically gave their guns away so major PD switched from Glock. I like the feel of the S&W but it does nothing better than Glock. I’ll be curious to see how they do in sweaty, humid conditions over time. Never saw a rusty Glock in my career of maintaining them. |

Glock took over the LE market because they spent the 1990’s practically giving guns away, and 1994 AWB effectively stalled service pistol development. The P320 is fine. It is an excellent duty pistol and is currently serving all over the US and world in both military and law enforcement in that capacity. Their optic choice though, the Romeo 1 Pro is just pants on head retarded. The R1P isn't drop safe, it WILL break if dropped. It just isn't a good optic. By the time they pay to replace optics twice over they could have just bought Trijicon RMRs.
Really Sig missed an opportunity. They developed their Romeo 2 and have been testing it for a few years. This would have been a great chance to get some out in the field and tested. The Romeo 2 shows a lot of promise. It is made at Sigs Oregon facility. They developed the optic with Aaron Cowan of Sage Dynamics. I am really optimistic that it will be a good little red dot. P320 is not my favorite pistol but it is reliable and has a natural grip angle. Some training on a red dot site makes for more accurate shots with faster follow-up. So a good choice all the way around. Still has irons for when officers don't change the battery until it has been dead for 2 months. Since being early on the bandwagon for LE it got them good pricing, now doubt.

The Romeo 1 pro comes with the metal shield/skeleton.
My local department issues the P320 LE Pro Carry. No issues that I know of. |

Front and back strap have an aggressive texture that keeps the pistol locked in your hand. The texturing on the side is useful without being uncomfortable against you. It’s great for moving sweat off your hands. The magwell is beveled and flared making for very fast mag changes. @11:20 he talks in depth about the WC grip module. Simply put it is outstanding.  Wilson Combat P320 / New and Improved Army Service handgun? |

Maybe I don't understand shooting but I would train everyone to shoot with no sights whether it was a pistol or a rifle. At the range, my front sight fell of my Gen 2 Glock. I had just started so I picked up the sight and kept going. Two or three shots and I was back on minute of barn which is good enough for me.
