Reminds me of an interview with Arnold Schwartzenegger where he mentioned how the director of Predator wanted to have a sex scene with his character and the woman in the middle of fleeing through a jungle. |

I question if this is even still the case or still relevant.
The only part of the whole article that talks about him directly saying he preferred not to have kissing scenes with white women is here: In 2002 Roberts explained to Newsweek that it was Washington that ultimately decided to cut the scene. Washington explained to the publication that his fanbase was predominantly black women and he didn’t want to alienate them by having kissing scenes with white actresses. He said: “Black women are not often seen as objects of desire on film. “They have always been my core audience." That's it. So was that quote even recent? Or was it back in 2002? If it was recent, why is this lame news site reaching out to Washington to explore something so trivial from 20 years ago? And if Washington said it 20 years ago, who cares. |
