Apparently, the NDA for the streamers / media ends at 12 noon Eastern, and then we'll have an explosion of post-patch content and build lists.
It seems to me that Blizzard really want the spiritborn class to be the top of the heap this season, and I expect to see most of the S class dominated by SB builds. Non LS sorc may be OK as well. |

Yeah looks like that's exactly what happened: Spiritborn is way ahead of every class this coming season.
I'm happy to hear that you will hit max level (or at least be super close to it) by simply doing the expansion campaign on a fresh character. If you knockout the seasonal questline portion that unlocks the opals early on, you'll have those huge XP bonuses and will be max level with ease. |

Watching the videos and reading up after the review embargo ended, here is how I see it.
The builds that we’re doing well in Season 5 will continue to be viable in Patch 2.0. Lightning spear is still a solid A tier / low end S tier. Rogues will continue to do well. Leveling 50-60 with existing builds will be very viable. Spirit born builds will be S+, or at least a couple will be. Rob has a jaguar quill volley build that decimates even with modest gear. One nice thing is that the same rewards are available in Torment 1 as in Torment 4, just in smaller amounts. So even lower powered builds can access the full endgame. Looking forward to Tuesday morning (the patch goes live Monday evening EST but e know the first few hours will be a huge CF.) |

Well, I was goofing around with my rogue and trying different setups and now I don't remember which build I had originally. The current one is garbage, I need to find a new setup. I tried one of the builds I found online and I dont like it.

They finally got the release done about 5 hours late.
So far, it rocks. In Eternal, if you had a solid season 5 build it will rock Penitent no problem. In seasonal, Spiritborn is cool so far (lvl 10). |

Played a decent amount today and got a Spiritborn character to 45. Using Maxroll Stinger Centipede.
My only complaint so far is the performance of the game is awful. I had to turn everything down in the graphics settings yet I'm still getting stuttering and stuff. I do only have an RTX 2060 on a laptop but it should still be performing better than it is  Sporitborn feels great. Story is ok but the boss battles and mechanics have been pretty good. One boss battle took me almost 15 minutes, after previously spending 10 minutes and dying (hard difficulty). My gear has fallen behind a bit since I'm powering through the campaign and leveling very quickly, so I lowered it back to normal. |

I When they introduced that vampire event that turned into the blood maiden event, I had to turn it down to High. When they introduced Hordes I had to turn it down to Medium. Now I'm on Low and still stuttering

I went back and found a Rogue build that was close to the one I had. So I rearranged the skills and it seems to work well.
I played the new expansion for a few hours and I enjoyed it. As soon as I could I bumped the difficulty up to hard and it made it much more difficult. When I get into a large group of advanced enemies I have to pay attention.

Made it to T3 and I'm still missing 5 ancestral pieces of gear, including 2 uniques that I don't even have, for the ideal Touch of Death build.
At no time was I in any danger, it just takes forever for enemies to die. |

Game is unplayable. The lag and rubber banding is horrible. When I load into game it's literally 3-5 minutes of waiting on the screen to fill in. Drivers are current and I had none of these issues last season, hell in a T8 horde playing andarial barrage was zero lag.

Rob’s Eagle Quill Volley build absolutely spanks. I’ve only got 2 paragon boards, and modest non-ancestral gear. And it easily handles Torment 2 content.

I switched to the Overpower version as well. It smacks hard. Have to turn off overpower numbers, or the screen just turns orange and you can't see shit.
I don't yet have 275 vigor, so I'm not getting the full power of the dark side here. It still smacks hard. |
