Andor was way better than I expected after the other garbage content

Andor was done well because of three things.

1. No fucking Force.
2. Adults acted like adults.
3. No fucking Force.

I've said it before.

Andor is a great movie, and would STILL stand alone on its own as a great movie if you took away the Star Wars-ness.

Andor was so well written, directed, shot, and acted; that if you removed Star Wars from it but kept the core story plot. It would still be great. You could replace Star Wars with Buck Rogers or even Galaxy Quest and it would still be good.

And I think when Sabine said “Master” it had some sarcasm(or some other kind of tone) in it. It didn’t come off sounding like a term of respect YMMV

I don’t disagree. I try not to play pedantry but that made me wonder if he was talking about Rogue One or something.

I caught the tone and would guess at the same thing. I bet Ashoka tried to get Sabine to tap into it and she resisted just like her training with kanan or not wanting to be the mandalore even though she had the dark saber if I remember right

I’m rewatching obi wan with my son this week. It’s not as bad as I remembered… until every scene with young leia or the ex Jedi ghetto chick. Really looking forward to the pixel joker recut.

Andor was great.    Some of my favorite SW.   It was just unlucky coming out after Obi-Wan.    Plus it didn’t help how slow the first few episodes were.   That didn’t bother me, but I can see how most would be turned off.

Andor was Good in the first few episodes, AWESOME in the middle, and petered out there towards the end with some Great moments.

I enjoyed about 87% of it as a pretty well done return to an Empire Strikes Back era Star Wars.

With the failure of the last attempt at an Indian Jones movie has Kennedy been fired yet? That cunt is responsible for destroying two of my all time favorite franchises.  Star Wars and Indiana Jones.

It’s a quieter series but very worthwhile. Less pew-pew, more “classic spy drama”.

The show was and is a blow burn and honestly, the ending was fantastic. Andor shows the WHY the Empire are the bad guys. Same with Bad Batch. Andor is all about the birth of the Rebel Alliance.

Definitely a developing drama, not the usual SW style obviously.

Disney Spends $49 Million On Star Wars Spinoff ‘The Acolyte’

Little is known about “The Acolyte,” which is set to land on the Disney+ streaming platform next year.

In a recent podcast interview with Entertainment Weekly, the show runner Leslye Headland revealed that “The Acolyte” takes place around 100 years before the events of the first Star Wars prequel, “Star Wars: The Phantom Menace.”
