It wasn’t the full feminist show off, but I find it hilarious the most compelling character isn’t Ashoka or Sabine, it’s Ray Stevenson and Thrawn. They just have more of a presence then the main characters. Lol, this series is definitely nostalgia bait for the Rebels crowd, but I find myself rooting for the villains. I want the villains to succeed in this series just because the main characters are so insufferably dull. I want to know more about Baylan and his apprentice, I want them to start a new paradigm of dark Jedi users to break the cycle, it would be so refreshing. Too much filler. Idk how many seasons they have planned, but I want to see the rise of another Empire(not first order BS) |

The thing I didn't like about Thrawn was the weight. I would have liked it it he had been in physical shape or even slightly below normal weight. Just showing the years of "surviving" in the out realms.

The biblical Enoch was raised to heaven while still alive and became the right hand man of god. It’s obvious that Star Wars Enoch is Thrawns right hand but does this hint more about his character.

Crazy that the best characters in this show are the villians!
Thrawn seems good so far to me - he is the chess master whose plans are large and long term. Baylan is a fatherly character with interesting motivations who tries to bridge both sides of the force. His desire to break the cycles of good and evil is strange but interesting. Shin Hotty is just fine as frog hair and dangerous in a good way. She tends towards the dark and unsure and I worry about what happens if she loses Baylan. So far this show is giving Mando a run for it's money as second best Star Wars TV. Not sure yet if it is better than Mando but it is certainly better than Obi-Waste and Boba Fat. Andor stands alone at the top of course. I am scared that the second season of Andor has almost no chance of being as great as the first season. |

If Episodes 7/8/9 are considered canon, where admiral Holdo does the infamous lightspeed kamikaze in The Last Jedi… Why haven’t they they just been using that strategy against pretty much every large cruiser+ class ship this whole time? Just slinging solid lightspeed missiles at shit?
At only the speed of light, a mass of 390 grams (14oz) hits with the energy of a 1 megaton atomic bomb (~4.1 petajoules). edit: Hell, forget attacking just cruisers. Something like a 40,000,000 ton Imperial Star Destroyer at light speed would impact an object with some ~430,000,000,000,000,000 megatons of energy… that’s 7.8 quadrillion Tsar Bombas There’s no that doesn’t destroy even a planet. |

There was never a reason to do it, and every reason not to do it. But at any point someone could have Holdo'd another ship. |

Regardless, I also felt like she just showed up and found the guy. They missed a lot of side-plot action here whereas Mando was/is all about the side-plot action. You hate to see it. Thrawn is such a great schemer, maybe he kept Ezra alive as bait. It's not like he was going anywhere. Explains a lot of the armor repairs for the night troopers |

View Quote I reworked the math… A 40 million tonne imperial star destroyer at lightspeed would impact with the kinetic energy of 7.8 QUADRILLION Tsar Bombas. 7,811,187,021,873,958 of the most powerful nuclear bombs (~55MT) ever detonated. Why even bother building the Death Star, at that point? Just hurl one of your hundreds of cruisers at a planet. |

I've read and known about Thrawn since Heir to the Empire (through to Outbound Flight) and agree with Metalsaber... for a guy as precise as Thrawn has been written, on the ragged edge of space, he should look ...a little less paunchy. The actor did a fine job otherwise... I'd just have thought with the possibility of being one of the next big bad guys in the SW Universe, that he'd have gotten a little trimmer for the role. Maybe all the snail people they’ve been eating are high in calories. I am also curious how they taste Just needs some oyster sauce. |
