Thinner than copy paper canary shit yellow. I have some of my more memorable summons framed and hung in my shop next to my 69 RR 440. My first was for unlawful clinging to a moving motor vehicle on my bicycle. In 70-71 I was protected and served at a young age.

We had a guy in high school who wore leisure suits to school.
He had a light blue one, a yellow one, a weird green one, and another which I can't remember.
God, they were so bad!

When we were moving my mom into assisted living and selling her house, I found my old shoes in the back of the closet on a shelf. How the F did I walk in those things? If it was around in the 70's, I'm sure I wore it at one time or another.

I was just young enough not to be brutally subjugated to that decade.

The most I remember was being in kindergarten and having a dark red denim jacket that was part of the Winnie the Pooh line at Sears (remember Sears had Winnie everything). Brown suede hushpuppy shoes, yes like in the Jimmy Buffet song.

Then we got the 80's and my mother tried to get me into the topsiders with no socks. Yeah, no.

I had a high school teacher (1977) who used to wear Dittos and tube tops to work.
The principal made her wear a sweater or a shirt over the tube top.
She was 23 and had graduated from UCLA in 1976.

Chuck Taylors (Converse All Stars) were bargain bin sneakers back then. We’d dig through large bins at KMart full of loose Chuck Taylors trying to find matching pairs, colors, and sizes. IIRC they were $2.99/pair when I was a kid in the 70’s.

Then in the 90’s something happened where those ghetto kid sneakers became fashionable and prices went through the roof.

What i was told I could get as shoes and price reality might not have run in the same ditch.  I just remember they were some no brand ugly things.  I have never had a pair of chucks on my feet my whole life.   I do remember my parents got involved with some pyramid shoe scheme for a bit.

Same here.I graduated 1979 in Florida and Dazed and Confused was exactly like my high school.
Keg parties in the woods/orange groves, lots of muscle cars still around,no fat girls and plenty of mood altering substances.Drinking age in Florida was 18 then but if you were 16 and had the money that was close enough.
