Did you say sizes run normal or small? I think I saw both comments.

I normally wear an XL sweatshirt, so I'll probably get an 2Xl. I'll order an XL tshirt. https://www.customink.com/fundraising/phs-panther-art-2023-smokejumper-slurry-bomber-project-fundraiser-0156 |

Update 2/24
Frantic Friday..... We are at 71 sold and $1140 raised so far. Outstanding effort. https://www.customink.com/fundraising/phs-panther-art-2023-smokejumper-slurry-bomber-project-fundraiser-0156 I'm rounding up student orders today and will get those in on Monday. I think today is going to be too crazy. We are running out of bondo at the moment, so I'm going to race down and grab some this morning so we can continue refining the cowlings. They are looking pretty dang good. We are adding a bit of contour adjustment to the area above the cockpit windows. There should be some slight straight edges there. With a bit of caulking to smooth out the back edges, this should give us that slight bit of detail we need. I've got one student who has taken on all the details on the cargo doors. It's a lot of work. With our wing mounts pretty solid, we can start to get our finishing skin and contours done up top. "Thermal camera pod" getting more sculpting. I ordered some clear christmas balls this morning that should give us the start of a lens. We might try messing around with making our own. We've done some small stuff, pressing something round into hot acrylic, not sure we can do one 3" or not. |

We're not getting as many photos on the mural/background development, you're slacking off and it won't be tolerated. Curious how well the "One foot in the black" reads from across the room, if there's enough contrast to be noticed but not glaring. Like a glass sort of effect in photoshop Maybe? |

There we go...
152 Sold and $2010 Raised! I've been working with Custom Ink on the design problem. They don't want us to use the clipart tower, so we took some pictures of our tower, and they modified them a bit to fit the design. We still have one muff up(out of alignment thing) on the design that they are working to fix, but the fundraising website now has the updated graphics with the new tower. |

Top cowling: Make sure to fold the Bondo over and then squeeze it together instead of stirring it to make sure all air bubbles are out of it. Then wait until that bit is firm/hard before adding more. Apply by "Push Smearing" the filler INTO the surface to get to all the little nooks and crannies. You can use wax paper on some paperboard to make a crisp edge if needed but only one area should have partially cured filling at one time since if you try to mix them, it'll crumble. So fold - not stir, and allow the 20 minutes to cure before next layer, using wax paper on a notebook cover as a mold to make a crisp corner. Shouldn't ever sand away and be able to find an open spot or bubble beneath a layer. Second: The "One Foot In The Black", I think would look pretty cool with a bit of light grey to white smoke over the left hand side where it is dark background and some dark blue-grey smoke over the right hand side where the background is light. So maybe add a touch of contrast and a very light airbrushed "wisps" of smoke around it to give it some depth, as the flat black kind of seems "cold" or something to me. I remember when the letters were outlined but not filled, and that sort of look but with more contrast was pretty cool. That's an option of course, it does grab attention though. Overall looking awesome, as usual! |
