Yup, we got them.  All charging right now.
Excellent! Tracking showed em out for delivery Friday, but UPS reported the school closed. SMH.

He still insists we need to try it.  He's currently working on our lexan flames.   That keeps him occupied.

What about a small TV angled just under & in front of that vent showing a fire .GIF on a loop?  That way you've not blocked the vent, but it adds motion to that part of the display?

What about a small projector built into the mountain projecting fire onto the wall.

If you don't have good air flow to the projector, you may even get a burning smell.

What if I just put Guns on a monthly delivery from Amazon of liquid smoke?

That is not a good idea.

Still say you should just run PVC from the display to the smoke pit, it'll smell perfect unless the district makes the strawberry vapers go outside too.

Here are a couple moon photos I took this year. The smoke from the west is giving us some interesting looking moons.

The second one is the "Buck Moon."

I wonder if your 3-D scan would be improved if you painted little reference squares in strategic places - wing tips, wing root, etc.

But what the heck IS a moon clock? I went back to the first seven pages and found no explanation.

At my house it's an app that lets me know which week of the month my wife is going to be grumpy. (j/k, she's menopausal so she's always grumpy.)

But in this context, it's an actual time telling clock that's been painted to resemble a full moon seen through the smoke haze of a forest fire.

So I'm 8 pages late to this thread, but for future reference you can sometimes find older model kits cheaper on Ebay or even kit lots you can bash together.  Oldmodelkits dot com has a good variety of out of production stuff as well.

I had a high school physics teacher that was pretty cool. My favorite teacher/ instructor of all time.

My art teachers were never this creative. I am always blown away by the dedication and creativity of this art program.

I am wearing my U307 shirt today, btw.

The embers look bad ass.  Now you need smoke & an inconsistent mirage rising from the heat.

It would be just terrible if an airplane carrying a shipment of rivets and space shuttle tiles had crashed and caused the forest fire.

Someday. These kids will grow up and buy rivet guns...and put down 4 years of riveting on their resumes!

I am glad you got a new blade on the saw. That one with broken teeth was dangerous.
Happy to help out in some small way. You being an art teacher is like a science teacher I had 50 years ago in high school.
At any time we had over 10 different kinds of snakes including rattlesnakes in the classroom. Rats, mice kangaroo rats, fish, lizards and desert tortoises.
I will never forget Mr. Roberson.

I have something from my high school art teacher - he was a pen and paper artist, and when he brought in examples of what it looked like, one was two B-24s in flight. I bought it from him for $5, and still have it hanging in my home office today. He passed on years ago, thank you Mr. Faust.
