Drop boxes were always a bad idea, and should be illegal. I'm on the permanent early voting list in AZ, and I use that early ballot...but it gets handed over to election officials in person on election day. Period.

Rumors are that mules are dropping ballots in USPS mailboxes in Wisconsin, as the ballot drop boxes are illegal unless at and within a city clerks office. But USPS boxes can serve the same purpose, as they will move the ballots the last mile to the clerk.
