Not only does the poll suck, I find it ludicrous that any grown person has never eaten a salad..... aside from the retards on those shows who gag at anything other than french fries.....

Disturbing number guys I knew in college had their palate reduced to 3rd grade level slop, would only eat chicken tender/nuggets, burgers, fries, pizza, and mac and cheese

Yep.

Lunch today was a Kale salad with homemade dressing, and left over charcuterie from dinner last night.

I don’t understand that word.

It was from here.

Pretty neat place. It's an art gallery combined with a restaurant that opened a couple blocks away.

This thread is blowing my mind.  I truly can't believe there's anyone who hasn't eaten a salad.

Next thing you're going to tell me is you don't eat vegetables either.

No, “leftovers”. That isn’t the same as sitting around in an airport, is it?

I have a kid that is into making charcuterie. It is pretty cool.

This is usually the only time I have a salad.  With the amount of dressing to make it palatable may as well grab a sandwich.

A few times a week. However our version of a salad is basically sliced veggies in a bowl, then adding a few spinach leaves, cover in dressing.

I eat a salad every day.  We grew up with salads daily.  Also eat coleslaw at least once per week.  EVOO, vinegar salt and pepper as my dressing.   That is it.

I love salad, the more veggies the better. I'm known to eat bagged mixes out of the bag with an occasional dribble of dressing. While all good, I think calling chicken/egg/tuna 'salad' is a misnomer.

When I was a kid, I remember my parents asking directly not to deliver entrees before we'd finished our salad.

Way back when, I worked at Bob Evans. We line cooks would sneak a raw egg into the cranky salad ladys bowl of hard boiled eggs meant for cobb salads. It was hilarious.

I'm not a huge veggie fan, but yes....I often have them for lunch.  Had one today.

I eat a lot of these:

Usually some type of Chicken Santa Fe style salad from Aldi or Wal-mart or Target or Meijer.

I always add a bit turkey, sunflower seeds, and salsa to them.

Thousands. As a kid and as an adult.

As a kid, green salad was served with every dinner. Every.
Dressing? Olive oil and wine vinegar. Every. Single. Time.

Mom was a first gen American of Sicilian parents.
Dad was a butcher, so meat was usually served in some form also.

Taco salads are great.

Caesar Salad not so much.

My family could live on a Ranch dressing IV. Me, it's good for a veggie dip and that's about it.

Yes. Sometimes if I have eaten heavy through the day I find that just a salad at night is satisfying.

Said salad does need to include protein. Oftentimes leftover chicken or steak along with hardboiled eggs and the usual salad fixings.

All the time, I love them. None of the ones I eat are very healthy though.

Since I started tracking my macronutrients and calories in 2017 I haven't eaten a salad maybe more than three or four times.  I'm not a fan of balsamic dressing though. I like Caesar, Ranch, Honey Mustard, and I'll toss in things like bacon, cheese, fried croutons, maybe friend chicken bits, and so forth. So my idea of a good salad is like something that's 1,500 calories.

I also like Waldorf salad and German Potato salad

One of my favorites is a summer ripe tomato thinly sliced on a plate with pesto sauce and shrimp. Food for the gods.

Grandma used to add some pansy petals and very young dandelion greens. The pansy petals had a peppery flavor and a surprising aroma.

Ranch dressing for veggie dip is nasty.

You gotta buy the hidden valley powder jar and you mix it with a quality sour cream.

Much cheaper, better consistency and tastes much better.

Of course I have.  Even gone out of my way for one.  There used to be a restaurant in Houston called The Mason Jar that had the best grilled chicken salads, ever.  Unfortunately their landlord decided he wanted a different tenant and jacked their rent up to something insane and they had to close.
