Home Depot worker, 26, is shot and killed trying to stop shoplifting couple from stealing phone charger: Suspects fled the scene with two-year-old child in car
Blake Mohs, who had been slated to marry his fiancé later this summer, died after being shot at Home Depot in Pleasanton, California The 26-year-old employee confronted a woman who was attempting to steal an electronic device from the store Benicia Knapps, 32, and David Guillory, 31, were arrested over the shooting after fleeing with a child in their car Knapps, a licensed security guard with a criminal history, had attempted to steal a phone charger  Mohs and Silligman met while they were both volunteering with the Boy Scouts. They were set to marry on August 12 of this year |

Unfortunately the dude died trying to save a multi billion dollar company 3.00 dollars. My friend works for homo depot, they supposedly have several billion dollars allocated exclusively for damaged goods, lost goods, theft, etc per year.

Fascinating how this shit has changed.
I worked at a Home Depot in North San Diego County back in the late '80's. A large percentage of our employees were either active duty Marines working part time, former Marines in a new civvy job, or other veterans. Our store manager was former Navy SpecWar, and I vividly remember coming into work one morning, and good old Neil was doing an arm bar on a shoplifter in the parking lot. I was walking by and asked Neil if he needed help, he laughed and said "nah, I'm good". We used to kick the shit out of shoplifters. Oh well. Progress. |
