$136k last year, $124k this year but I got smart and figured out how to only work half as much.  I also completely eliminated by advertising budget which turns out was a total waste ($25k last year).  Gonna get hammered by taxes in April for sure.  Small business owner.

Saturday was the last day of work I’ll get paid for this year. I won’t get my stub until wed but it should   be around 131,800 before taxes.  After taxes insurance 401k and anything else that’s taken out before I get it around 81,000.  Master tech at a Honda dealer. I bust my ass and done take breaks.

Lol. And things like, oh, I don't know, fuel costs might have a huge difference in a truck drivers gross versus take home.

I made $0 from 2014-2017.
IT WAS AWESOME!
Grossed $66K since 2/15/18 + expenses.
Haven't been home since Aug. though. If I wasn't happily married, it would be a good job for a HS graduate.

ETA: I could have grossed $120K and had 2 Mexican GFs, a Chinese GF and a Korean GF.

I have my pick of jobs after 20 years I just like working the low paying yard jobs.

If I figured up my actually hourly rate for time worked compared to what I actually made, I would bet it would be close to 110/hr. The 5 months in the yard I could count on one hand the times I worked over 7 hours. And being on call I might get 80-100 hours a month and usually still free make over guarantee somehow.

Can you clarify for those of us who aren’t truck drivers?    Do you have to pay any truck expenses out of that?

Overnight accommodations?

Insurance and benefits?

Are you a “contractor”. Or is that regular salary?

Regular salary. I drive a truck for a company that pays me hourly. I do not own a my truck, pay for fuel, or have any truck related expenses. Its all company paid. I am an employee. I do not drive over the road. I am a local driver. I am home every day/night. I also receive medical benefits and pension from my company.

I meant individual gross taxable income. I wasn't thinking about the business owner that can gross $900,000 and have a personal taxable gross of $100,000 when I started the thread.

Not a brag. One can't brag about their income, if it all goes to bills, which OP later went on to clarify. Especially when it took 20hrs of OT every week to get.
