I love me some #9 Italian Night Club.
Jersey Mike’s is good too. Subway is trash. ETA: I prefer Wegmans for subs. Publix is good, Wegmans is king. |

We love some Jimmy Johns in our household. Jimmy Cubano for me!

I tried them a couple of times and found them to be just average..nothing special. I sure wouldn't drive out of my way to get one.. The local store won't even answer the phone to take an order ahead of time. We didn't call in the middle of the lunch hour, we called a couple of hours ahead, tried a number of times and they never answered the phone, nor was there a message where we could get a call back or leave our order.

I’ll take a #4 Turkey Tom, no tomato, sprouts instead of lettuce, spicy mustard and a bag of thinny chips. Thanks OP.

Quoted: JJ is rich people food. The first time we ordered it was almost $30 for two sandwiches, sandwiches only, no drinks. Jersey Mikes for me. View Quote Almost $30 for just two sandwiches?? What exactly did you order? If two sandwiches from JJs ran you almost $30 then you must have ordered some big sandwiches. Their basic sandwiches are under $8ea. If you did order their giant sandwiches, then you ordered the equivalent of 4 sandwiches and not 2. Menu pricing right now in Moore* OK is: $6.25 for Original sandwich $7.40 for Favorites $10.05 for Garguntuan I can’t pull up pricing for Jersey Mike’s but from what I remember its roughly the same. Now if you both ordered Giant sandwiches then maybe I could understand. $12.50 for Giant Original $14.80 Giant Favorites $20.10 for Giant Garguntuan *I suppose menu pricing in actual downtown OKC or Tulsa might be $1-2 higher per sandwich, in which case Jersey Mike’s prices would also be higher. Sigh. I love people being edgy that post outlandish claims. |

JJ is not bad.
How McDonald's is popular is still a mystery though. |
Jimmy Johns is a step up from Subway. The key when ordering from Jimmy Johns is to order double meat. If you don't order double meat, you basically get a bread sandwich.
Decent enough, it’s a step above subway.
Jersey Mike’s is the best! |

I really wonder if a lot of these complaints are like regional issues. JJs is my go to sandwich spot. Cheaper than Jersey Mike’s and I find the ingredients similar in quality. People complaining about them being bland, well, it is just a cold cut sandwich, it’s not supposed to be that exciting. As far as portions, they give the most generous around compared to a Jersey Mikes or Firehouse in the area.

JJs was a failure in my area. Closed after two years and was surprised it stayed open that long based on the number of cars you would see in the parking lot and drive through. McAlister's Deli is the go to chain in this area.

I was already hungry and you had to bring up JJs. Know what I'm having for lunch now

tried it once on a delivery to work... the "bike delivery dude" stunk so bad i lost my appetite.
no desire to give them a second chance |

It's pretty good here. If I get it I stop by on the way to work. No bike delivery dude. Italian Nightclub is a decent sub for the money.

Not sure what the OP is going on about JJs is pretty decent.

I've never been to a Jimmy John's, and there isn't one within a reasonable distance of where I live.
I used to go to a Jersey Mike's in a rather upscale shopping mall near where I used to work, but I retired and that one is gone. The one nearest my home(s) has terrible reviews, so I haven't been to it. Tagged for general interest. |

It sucks compared to Jersey Mikes. Plus the sandwiches are small.
First off, what are you in middle school wondering what is popular and not - grow up..
Secondly, different strokes for different folks just because you don't like it - has ZERO influence on what other people like.. Thirdly, grow the fuck up. uuuggghh, i don't like that places sanwiches, so why would anybody else like their sandwiches,, duuhhhhhhhh |
Last time I had one you could see through the cheese and the bread was soggy.
OP needs to post a photo of his $3 gas station sandwich that is as good as JJ's.
JJ's is good around here. I've always they were a lot better than Subway. My go to place is Cheba Hut. They're found in Colorado and New Mexico, which tells you about the name. The whole place is pot themed. A 12 inch sandwich is called a blunt. It totally caters to the stoner crowd, but their sandwiches are damn good!

Quoted: Jersey Mikes > Jimmy John's > Subway View Quote +1, but I stopped eating subway 10+ years ago. JJ near my old work was great. They have built two in my town over the last 4 years. Neither of them can make a sandwich to save their life. One has no employees and takes forever and usually fucks up every order. The other has about 20 teenagers standing around doing nothing, still takes forever and usually fucks up every order. Our one and only Jersey Mike's has a line out the door every day at lunch and dinner time. Also, I like Penn Station subs. |
Jersey Mikes for a cold cut sammy. Penn Station for anything hot. JJ's does have cool signs in their bathroom, easily swiped if you have a Craftsman flat blade screw driver on your keychain.

The Gargantuan! Five times the meat and cheese of a regular sandwich. Also note the size of the bun.
