First car? Nah.
First pickup, a 1985 Ford stepside, 4wd, dark canyon red, with a 351HO and C6? Oh yes. |
No way. My first car was totalled. Lady driving a minivan going 40mph plowed into the rear end and obliterated it. Entire truck space was flattened out, roof buckled, couldn't open the rear doors (had 3 people back there), and the front end got messed up to because I got pushed into another car.

It wasn't my first vehicle but would be awesome if I could get my 2001 Jeep Cherokee back.

Only vehicle I’m curious where it is now is my ‘03 Wrangler.
Bought that new, was my vehicle through some major milestones in my life. Traded it after 10 years for a minivan as thats were my life was at the time. |

First, no. 1992 Honda Civic DX sedan. Mint green
Second, yes absolutely. 1990 240sx. |
1978 Mercury Zephyr, I'd probably pass on buying it.
I would like to see if the front windows rolled up and the back one rolled down though. That would be a feat after letting it go 40yrs ago. |
My first car was a 1968 Ford Thunderbird sedan with suicide doors in the back. It was a cool car and one in good shape would probably be worth a decent amount but I wouldn't want it now. The second car though, I would buy it back in a heartbeat. It was a 1969 Camaro Z28 Rally Sport, it was a blast to drive but after starting college I couldn't afford to keep gas in it when gas got up over $1/gallon so I sold it and bought a VW Beetle.

1999 Jeep Cherokee s9ld it to my step-dad for $500 and a bottle of good bourbon because he was down on his luck at that time. He gave it to my little brother who probably ran that fucker into the ground knowing him. So no.

1973 Super Beetle Convertible?
Yeah maybe. That was a fun car |
Since my first car was a primer gray 1980 Pontiac Sunbird shitbox, not only no but hell no.
67 Lincoln with the suicide doors. I would love to have it back, but current prices say no.
67 Nova I bought in 79 I cant imagine how big the rust holes would be today
Turquoise 92 s10 with 87 hp on a good day. Pass.
Had my brother not wrecked the 99 Tacoma I sold him sure. |
Fuck no. My first car was a 1986 Renault Sport Wagon that couldn’t get out of its own way. It’s top speed was like 30 miles an hour. It literally could not climb hills. At all. The only way it would climb a hill was if I was already coming down one, had the gas pedal on the floor and took a run at the next hill and there was no guarantee it would even make it. I literally had to plan my routes to avoid hills.
Now I’d buy my third car which was a 1999 Dodge Neon Highline, but that’ll never happen since it was likely crushed. And I’d buy my 6th vehicle back which is a 2013 Ford F-150 XLT. I traded that in last year and every once in a while I do a vin search to see where it is but I haven’t found it yet. |

Shit year 1979 Mustang, so no. I could see the road through holes in the floor, that thing was done.
Hell no, zero interest ever having another 1987 Chevrolet Cavalier. Now, my second car? 1986 BMW 528e? Absolutely.
Yes, only if it was new & improved.
Tryin' to do this precise thing actually, for my momma. |
My first car was a 98 ford ranger 3.0 2wd.
No I wouldn't buy it I am considering buying my late fathers 2007 ranger for a beater truck |
1984 Mazda B2000SE5. Gutless mini truck.
I totaled it in a rollover on a Los Angeles freeway. There were very few salvageable parts, and I was lucky to walk away from the crash. |
I am in the "never sold my first car" club as well. Glad it can't talk!! Had it since I was 15. Class of 1998's homecoming parade pull vehicle!! then

My eight year old Ford Sunliner was a rust bucket when I sold it. The 352 was pulled and installed in a 56 Fairlane. The body was scrapped, so no.
I still search every so often for my 77 El Camino,so,far no luck. Sold that in 1983. |
I certainly would! Doubt it is even on the road anymore as it was old when I sold it ~35 years ago.

in 1992, I bought a 1972 Olds Cutlass S hardtop holiday coupe for $750. 350Rocket/Th350 trans. Someone had driven it out to VA from CA and it still had pine straw in the cowl and CA tags in the trunk. It had some cobbled together bondo work in the hood and driver's fender but, no rust anywhere. It had been painted a metallic orange with all the chrome blacked out. It was sitting on staggered American racing torque thrusts 14's up front 15's in the rear. I added the right kind of buckets from a '70 Monte Carlo, MSD 6a, new shocks and springs.
I drove the shit out of that car and learned a lot. Sold it in 1997 when my folks were moving and the funds needed to go towards school to my older sister's boyfriend who got me into cars in the first place. Prior to losing touch with him, the front clip was replaced, and he was installing a stout 455Rocket with a Th400 trans. I would love another A-body but, prices have gotten stupid. I need to get motivated and work on my '92 Mustang Gt 5.0 5spd that has only been owned by my brother and I....currently slumbering in my garage. |

View Quote I still have my first truck, a '97 Mazda B2600i 4wd. We also had one of those B1600 or 1800 trucks with an auto trans, wasn't exactly a speed demon. My younger brother rolled it, but it actually survived...beat out the dents in the roof, and it didn't miss a beat. |
