Well, this is exactly what I explained would happen in the earlier threads discussing why Texas hasn't taken a harder line approach. Now we have, and this is the predictable result. Migrants will die making bad decisions and every paper in the U.S. will blame it on Gov. Abbott as if he were personally killing them.
