Not a new thing. Hazelton PA a while back had an influx of migrants from South America. It made the news, for it put a massive strain on local resources. Police, medical, fire etc, and the Mayor of Hazelton put fourth some local policies. If you have no ID or green card, you can't rent an Apt/House, buy gas, shop, etc. He was sued by the ACLU, and the ACLU won.
When the civil infrastructure of Springfield becomes overwhelmed, it will be interesting to see the outcome. IMO, it won't end well. |
