But the Orcs are slowly getting better with their fortifications. These trenches are looking like somebody dusted off an old WW2 manual:

Kalashnikov Concern (Izhmash) Fire Extinguisher

This unit is at the St. Petersburg Artillery Museum, Russia. It's a long-range chemical fire extinguisher based mainly on AK parts, made by Kalashnikov. The "gun" is not a converted firearm but made new from the massive supply of surplus gun parts. The magazine is actually the front grip. The idea is that the fire extinguisher's operation and ergonomics are familiar to Russian emergency responders.

Those would be neat fortifications if air power didn't exist, and the Ukrainians didn't have a solid understanding of combined arms tactics, or have grenade dropping UAVs, or MLRS.

That the Russians built those trenches at all illustrates that they have no concept of combined arms operations with their own Air Force, and are mirror projecting their own inadequacies onto the Ukrainians.  "We don't work with our air groups for assaults, so they don't either".

Is that a captured abandoned unit?  Or is that "emplaced" into the woods?

Despite that the Russians only have like 7 of them, running across that thing in the middle of the woods as a ground pounder would have to be absolutely fucking terrifying.

Holy shit I never realized the degree of size disparity in those designs.

Me either, man the SUs are huge.

The SU-34 has a toilet and a galley. Even though it’s a “strike fighter” it really is a bomber. Before this stuff kicked off I read somewhere it was supposed to eventually replace the Tu-95 in the missile carrier role as well as the Tu-22M3 and augment the Tu-160s low numbers.

Expected to see "Ozark Trail" - "made in China" on it.

I always thought that version of AK was pretty neat, and an actual step forward for the design rather than a microwaved rehash.  Which is why it never got standardized and widely adopted.
I thought the dual capability of AAA and SAMs was a selling point for the Pantsir?  Wouldn't removing the gun just make it a really awkward and shitty SAM system?

Footage of a Russian Pantsir-S1 appeared. But take a good look at the camouflage. Judging by the colors, this is the export version intended to be sent to Iraq.

They are most likely withholding export versions because of a shortage of weapons in Ukraine.

What were the guns on the original,  30mm? Probably not great against small uav, so makes sense, as does more missiles.

Of course badass Hebrews are not afraid of Pantsir

Guns
The dual 2 2А38 [ru] 30 mm cannons (as well as the later 2A38M) were designed by the KBP Instrument Design Bureau and manufactured by the Tulamashzavod Joint Stock Company. The cannons are fired alternatively with a combined rate of fire of between 3,900 and 5,000 rounds per minute (1,950 to 2,500 rpm for each gun), which gives a continuous fire time of 23–30 seconds before running out of ammunition, and have a muzzle velocity of 960 metres per second (2,100 mph).[20] Bursts of between 83 and 250 rounds are fired as determined by the target type, with an engagement range between 0.2 to 4.0 kilometres (0.12 to 2.49 mi). HE-T and HE-I shells are used and fitted with a A-670 time and impact fuze which includes an arming delay and self destruct mechanism.[9] The 2K22 can fire its cannons in two primary modes of operation, radar and optical. In radar mode, the target tracking is fully automatic, with the guns aimed using data from the radar. In optical mode, the gunner tracks the target through the 1A29 stabilized sight, with the radar providing range data.[16][21]
