Today is Russian orthodox Christmas
So, since I was grew up in 50's and 60's, and attended Catholic Mass, I was curious to see what is different from Catholic vs Orthodox. This is full Chistmas eve mass last year, losts of ceremony stuff. Some of it is similar to traditional Catholic high Mass in the 50's-60's, the bilble quotes are sung, priest waves thing with incense smoke. Major differences...no pope, no pews, everyone stands to sides. The altar is in its own room, only the priests go in and do the chalice stuff.    Ukraine captured this strange helmet-mounted device called the "Spider", which is a passive lightweight warning system that detects and locates the direction of laser emissions from laser guidance systems and laser rangefinders. Russian instruction manual included.

The Russians apparently came to this realization about their big 30mm cannons, and determined it was better just to take them off. It was not enough gun for real threats, and too much gun for the small stuff. |

Its pretty cool seeing all of this stuff but I have to say its somewhat disappointing knowing that its all garbage and not actually capable of what they say it is.
