Active Junky pays 2% back for PSA. That covers most of shipping. I just ordered the 77 grain OTM for $0.56/round shipped (not including sales tax, since that is variable).

AJ then sends you a check every 3 or 6 months (i forget which). It's definitely legit. Cash back varies by vendor. Sportsmans Guide often has very good % cash back. Academy is also a AJ vendor. Maybe Scheels, too. PM me if you want a referral link that will give us both an additional $5 when you make your first order through them. |

55cpr for the AAC 77gr is a great price. shoots "almost" as well as my dwindling stash of CBC 77gr and IMI 77gr.
I think gel testing shows it's a pretty good performer also. |

Don't have a lot of any of that left. But I can still load from that stash. Today's pricing? It would be hard to load and save an appreciable amount. |

The little grey "poof" was pretty funny. Settled on the Varget loading that would would get a consistent 4050fps. Barrel was pretty warm after 10-12 rounds. It doesn't get shot a lot. Probably. One of the industry partners stated in a recent thread that his cost for pallet quantities worth of ammo was 1 cent less per box than what the online retailers were selling it for. It doesn’t seem like there’s a lot of profit in it.

Pencil barrels might be a hair more finicky but not by much. Remember that *HONEST* group sizes with M193 won't likely ever go much below 3moa. There's every chance that a high-quality 69/75/77 match type load will shoot much tighter groups than M193 but that group will likely land at least partially within the larger ~3moa group you'll get from M193. I doubt that anyone ever zeroes with a quality 75-77 grain load then notices any appreciable POI shift at all on an inside-100-yard training course. Doubly so if you're shooting at typical inside-50-feet distances. |

Gun cotton is in short supply because of the war in Ukraine. Copper/brass has risen for the same reason. I reload and purchased large quantities of supplies decades ago when they were cheap. Really cheap. I never saw a sale that I didn't like.
Reloading isn't what it used to be. Current prices have made it a wash if you are buying/shooting ball ammo. The only advantage is knowing you are self-sufficient when times get hard. |
