Thanks.  I purchased one of these to try out.

I will go with Atlas 46 if this one doesn't work well enough.

According to the Amazon listing, it is adjustable for length.  I will post up after I receive it to give you guys an update on how/if it works.

It might fit in a pop flare pouch, depending how long it is.

I don't know about a framing hammer on a battle belt, but recently I came across a video of Israeli police apprehending some weapon smugglers.

At 0:32 you can see a hammer hanging from the policeman belt.

On the Amazon page for your maglight/hammer pouch you purchased, the page shows "there's a a newer model." Looks like a HighSpeed Taco knockoff, but "open at the bottom!"

So I got that One Tigris pouch (the older model) and it only adjusts about an inch.  It is too small for a full size hammer.

Got my "newer" model. It fits a hammer snugly. The bottom drops out (Velcro) and the elastic/cinching is nice. You could slide a belt through the back or attach to a chest rig (with a single size 7 Blackhawk molle speed stick). The handle would hang quite low and might be a nuisance. Riding on a belt would be okay though.

Ive seen miners, pilebucks and shot-crete guys with chunks of 2" rubber airhose for hammer holsters - these in the pic are made of PVC, same design but different material. Something long enough to hold the hammer in place so it doesnt flop around and beat the fuck out of your shins/knees when you're running -  large enough that it's easy to draw the hammer out - doesnt rattle like a steel hammer loop - doesnt rot like a leather hammer loop.

I dunno...

We had a bad wind storm yesterday and some siding blew off.

I had to get my ladder out and climb up to the peak of my roof above garage door to re-attach a course of vinyl.  I grabbed my Estwing and Mexican Carried it up the ladder.  It was basically appendix-carry but I chose left side so whatever is over there carry.

You may be able to just carry a hammer over there regardless of a belt.

Maglite loop, simple leather loop with a snap button and a polymer ring.

For the discerning combat engineer that needs to carry tools to build, and weapons to deconstruct.

Claw hammers are for trim work, generally 20 oz and less.
Rip hammers are more versatile and are heavier.
Wood handles break often but absorb vibration the best.
Steel handles are the most durable but kill your hand.
Fiberglass handles is a compromise between the two.
My edc for 20 years at work is a Vaughn 999 20oz. rip.
My holder is a cheap leather with steel loop

You can ignore the actual sheath part, but the holder is what I was thinking of earlier. I don't know how well kydex holds up like this though.

This holds a CS hawk with a little wiggle room, might fit your hammer depending on the size of the handle. You can put it anywhere on your belt and can even angle it.

P.S.

If you have a heat gun, you could try molding your own kydex snap/sidebreak holster, similar to the ASP sidebreak baton holders.

Also wonder if sonething like this would work, depending on the handle
