The Hamas sympathizers are counting on this as being "business as usual" - they kill Jews, the Israeli government responds, and Hamas can count on all their mouthpieces all over the world to echo the "poor, poor Paestinians" narrative. You are seeing it in action all over the world. I think they have really underestimated what they have wrought in this case. The indiscriminate slaughter of women, children, and babies is going to hound them for years and years and hopefully longer.
