I assume you mean 13629. That’s Colt’s CAGE code, which they’re using on more and more parts instead of the old C stamp, which seems to have mostly been phased out. LE prefix serial number (instead of more recent CR prefix) commands a bit of a premium, but not quite enough to justify $1500 IMO.

Out of curiosity, what is stamped on the right side of the upper receiver below the top rail? CAGE code or “C”? Markings on bolt carrier or bolt? Should also be a date code on the barrel with month/year.

Has nothing to do with FBI AFAIK.

It is a NIB 2013 production over-run from a Colt FBI contract.  Minimal collector value, and not worth the premium I paid.

However, it's my rifle.  In this country, simply being able to say that held a sense of gravity.  Now it appears we have a flock of self-righteous dollar-minded pansies floating about.

You have not the forbearance even to understand your shame, such children are you.  Reason is beyond your ken.

On a random purchase by myself.

How many of you ***wipes could claim to have done better to have walked home with a rifle with a better story than this on a fine Wednesday morning?

I walked out with two 6920 OEM1 rifles yesterday since I have a bin full of accessories to finish them out. Cost me just a hair more than you paid for your one.

I understand, though. While I could have built a couple PSA rifles for a few hundred each less - and I have - I wanted a Colt in the repertoire. I still don’t consider a high end AR. It just checks all the boxes for a battle worthy beater.

I got an 6920-EPR last year.  I did not fight for a great price, but I think it was about $1250 with a MSRP of $1400.

Only 5 responders actually graduated from READING IS FUNDAMENTAL class.  This is a overproduction of an FBI contract gun.

From GunBroker.com:

https://www.gunbroker.com/item/824181766

"The LE6920-FBP1 is not a production model offered from Colt. This was part of a contract overrun that Colt had done for the FBI. This model features flip ups sights and a 11” Troy Alpa free float rail from Troy Industries. This model is built based off the 6920 line with the added accessories approved by the FBI."

Hey that’s a very cool rifle. Not sure I’d pay the premium for the FBI run coolness but I love Colt ARs and the parts on that gun. I’d pay $1200 but at $1500 not so sure. Maybe though for the coolness.

I don’t think that’s necessarily a 2013 made rifle. New colt rifles have 2013 on the box. I think something in the manufacturing changed at that point. Anyway, there’s stuff produced in 2019 based on serial number that say 2013 on the box.

It’s an FBI rifle you say.  Does it come with a towel to wipe away emails?  Does actively participate in a coup against an elected president? Does it have that creepy stroke guy on the roll mark?

Congrats on the new rifle.

The point of Colts is to buy a good one. Not a new one. This rush to buy is wierd. You are buying the cause of their decline.

They are going broke for a reason.
