Low Testosterone: What are the options? UPDATE:Testosterone megathread (Page 428 of 443)
|
Haven't had any problems after 2 weeks and 2 injections. Tomorrow is the third. The last two weekends, the wife and I have been at fairs, promoting her business.. didn't get a lot of business, though... and I learned that being at an outdoor fair all day, then packing up all the shit... makes me tired AF. We were there on Friday and Saturday this past weekend. Friday I didn't feel too bad. The usual before starting T was that I'd be really tired in the early to mid afternoon. I'd try to have a nap on lunch if I'm working from home. Since starting T, I'm not quite that tired in the afternoon. Friday, I was not tired. Saturday, I was tired! Sunday we didn't get to relax much, nor did we get to relax much yesterday. Ran around and stayed out much longer than I'd prefer. Hopefully after another couple weeks, it will all get better. Libido is slightly better, though the fairs really took the energy out of us, so no nookie in a few days. |

Have you been tracking it? Check it after sex? I know it will be elevated, but you can see if its higher than should be Not sure if 7 weeks is long enough to change it drastically, but a sex headache can sometimes come from high prolactin. Cant remember if estradiol can do it too, but Im sure someone in here can chime in on that |

Definitely need to learn more particularly about estrogen blockers. You should really not start at 200mg p/ week. There's a lot of dudes that are happy at 100mg p/ week and have labs to back it up. You can always increase your dose as needed. Additionally, using a an AI from the beginning doesn't seem smart either. Been on TRT going a year and a half and have dealt with symptoms of E being to high. Decreasing my dose resolved this issues without AI use. |

I asked him if I could split my doses and he told me not to, because that's not the "standard of care." I decided to split them anyway due to the overwhelming consensus from people who, frankly, know more about this than my doctor. I'm also ignoring his advice to take 1mg of Anastrozole a week. That seems like a lot of E2 blocker with a low test dose, especially when I dont have high E symptoms and I'm prone anxiety to begin with. The half life of testosterone cypionate is 8 days so if you're just looking at the data, weekly would make sense. Lastly it made me less anxious only taking half the dose.. I'm squeamish about meds ever since I took an OTC allergy pill (claritin maybe?) and it made me high as balls to the point I couldnt drive. Whatever weird SE's are only listed in the pamphlet that the pharmacist doesnt even know about? I'm usually the one that gets those lol. No idea why. My thigh is sore enough to notice but its not super painful or anything. I think my muscle was tense due to the nerves of doing it the first time. Going to try in the glute next time. IM is whats prescribed but I only stuck a 1" needle in about halfway like the video showed. Chat GPT says that may have been partial IM/some SubQ but that it would work the same anyway. edit: My needles are 1" 25ga. The instructions said to use an 18ga to draw the test from the vial faster but .25mL came out with the 25ga just fine. I wanted to handle the needles as little as possible since I'm still new to this. Try doing 1/2" 30G needle into your delts. Didn't look back to see the vial size your getting, but use a muti access vial spike if you have a 10ml vial or larger. Makes drawing super quick. |

I'm not qualified to answer your question but anecdotally I've read from a lot of people who had heart rate increases on T. I'm also on tirzepitide, which also raises heart rate. I've mostly quit drinking these days but if I have a few cocktails my heartbeat is very noticable in the middle of the night. Pretty annoying actually. edit: didnt realize the thread gained another page when I responded

Third injection today. I felt a little less tired the last couple days, but the night before last, I didn't sleep too well. Last night I nailed it! Apple Watch gave me a 99 sleep score, and I feel great today. Hopefully this continues. They did put me on a very small amount of AI, since my estrogen was a bit high (I mentioned before, doc said 25:1 is a good ratio, I was at 12:1 or so). They are supposed to draw blood to test either next week or the week after. We'll see what happens. |

But it's about twice the price of the bird pen. They are very accurate with peptides (water based). If you're doing oil, you will want to test the accuracy by sticking an insulin syringe in cartridge and seeing if what it pushes is accurate. And idk about the Gansulin, but I wouldn't use the bird pen for a dose less than 10 units. I found with under 10 units it wouldn't have enough spring tension. That'd be a better use case for a manual pen. |

The last two times I have tried injecting into my thigh I've had muscle spasms. Apparently it's possible to bend/break a needle although I don't think I've done that yet. No issues so far with deltoids but I can only easily reach one with my right hand. |

Any experience buying needles/syringes online? My doctor is retarded and Rx'd me 5/8" 20ga needles. I have a call into him but it'll take a while. The pharmacist gave me a few 1" 23ga but basically said dont tell anyone, and I didnt give these to you. Everywhere else locally will not sell them without a script. I bought some on Amazon but they are all made in China and I dont want to give myself commie AIDS |

He did order a blood test to check my red bloodcell count and said I might need to go donate blood if it's too high. Blood pressure is 136/80. I did order a BP reader so I will keep an eye on it. Thanks for the help guys |

I'm not wiping ALL my needles, but the Chinese ones I am giving a wipe with a pad (I think I was answering a question about Chinese needles and got this mixed up with the peptide thread - I meant my tiny Tesa needles). I know it doesn't sterilize and I know about the coating, but its a small piece of mind and the drag isn't really an issue on such a tiny needle. I bought these to try before buying in bulk to try them out and I'm not thrilled. Once this box is done I'm going to a different brand/combo.SO mostly ignore my post above (posting when sleepy). |

How strict are you guys with "expired" pins? If they are kept in cool/dry places, do the rubber plungers deteriorate? |

So had my total testosterone checked and it's 283. My doc is sympathetic but says she is forbidden from giving me testosterone unless my level is lower. So what are my choices? Is there some good TRT clinic near Killeen, TX that I can go to? Or would I be better off using an internet place? |

I am on pellets. Went to a urologist for HCG because my boys have shrunk and I wanted to bring them back. All cool and went for 3 month follow up. Interestlingly, I told them I was on pellets, said I was thinking of switching to test c because my last blood test showed test 1450 and its harder to regulate. Anyhow they said sure we can order you the script. So I asked what the cost or montly cost was. They said zero. I would get the test from Walgreens, needles from Amazon and just see the Urologist ever so often for blood test results review which is mostly covered by blue cross. Sooo stay on pellets $700 twice a year. Or stick myself twice a week with testo needles? |

Get Active or Get Disarmed! That means get involved in helping good candidates in primary and general election. That is in addition to being politically active once they are elected.

The T never flows to the bottom, you're trying to get air bubbles and spaces out and sometimes the T comes out the top. You're pulling the plunger and exposing it to the air/unsterile. Luer lock .3 - 1cc syringe, draw with needle of your choice, replace needle with injection needle of your choice. Or skip the draw needle in the first place and use a vial access spike. Not cost effective with 1ml vials but great for multi use 10ml+ |

Just back load some 30ga insulin pins and pick an area with fat which is literally all around your belt line. To me, I always found backfilling to be asinine. Not cost effective with 1ml vials but great for multi use 10ml+ I'll have to find the video of the guy saying this. But your taking a steroid to make you more manly yet your scared of an IM injection or you back load a needle because your worried it might get a little dull. mor you can just use a slin pin and draw and inject. Millions of diabetics do it daily multiple times and may with 2 vials a dose. |

Or would I be better off using an internet place? I don't know but I got the impression it was against policy. I made an appointment with a local TRT clinic called "Total Men's Primary Care". I'll see how it goes. |

Man this thread is crazy long, I don’t have time to read all of it, but I did go to the men’s clinic today. I’ve been working out, eating right and sleeping correctly for the last 9 months, totally changed my life. My testosterone is still 262 as of a month ago. The clinic wanted to test my pituitary today so more blood work done, but looks like TRT is Probabaly on my future. They also offer peptides. Thinking about doing a round of bpc-157 and semorelin. I’ve fought shoulder impingement for the last few months and I’m tired of it, hoping to move past it. Going though the clinic is expensive. TRT is 250mo, bpc is 550 for 30 days and semorelin is 770 for 6mo. I don’t intend to be on anything but TRT for long and I do like working with someone local. |

Nowhere in the Constitution will you find the phrase, "unless it's inconvenient to Government".

Not cost effective with 1ml vials but great for multi use 10ml+ You guys that struggle with back filling syringes need practice. It's easy to get the air our and you shouldn't be having T leaking from anywhere unless you purposely push a bit out to lube the needle. And anyone using 1ml vials has bigger issues than back loading. I havent used amps since I was using Sustanon 250 years ago. But if you know you know, Sub-Q is the way to go unless you are pushing larger amounts of gear in the 1-3cc several times a week range. |

TRT clinics will try to sell you shit you don't need so be very aware of that. No to the following: Pellets, creams, Anti-Estrogen drugs like Letro/Anastrozole (you'll know if you really need them, most don't on TRT), and other addon's like Nandrolone/Deca, and surely don't let them pre-fill your syringes (yes clinics do this). |

Quick update. Bloodwork all came back "normal" but I am still having issues. Whenever I get close to climax I get a pretty painful headache. It's to the point I won't have sex until I can figure this out Has anyone else experianced this? My only thoughts are I might need to donate blood. The Dr was waiting for the reults so we can go over them next visit. Attached File . |

Just by looking at the numbers you don't need to donate blood, and even if your HCT were high I wouldn't do it, I would work on stopping bad habits and hydrating more. Where is markers for Free T, Total T, Estradiol/E2, and other important things? And chances are low T is not causing your issues, I would see a specialists/Uro to check that out. That sounds like something neurological is going on. |
