Third injection of .25mL (50mg 2x a week) this morning. Did the right thigh again because it went well last time. This time I remembered to swap to the 27ga 1" and it was even less eventful than the last time. Zero blood or pip. I massaged it for a few minutes and used the heating pad for another 10mins while I drank my coffee. Completely painless. I cant believe I was so worked up about this the first time.

Trying to find the right combo of needles online is frustrating as hell. Anyone know of one supplier that has 27ga x 1" needles and 1 mL syringes in stock?

They also offer peptides. Thinking about doing a round of bpc-157 and semorelin. I’ve fought shoulder impingement for the last few months and I’m tired of it, hoping to move past it.

Going though the clinic is expensive. TRT is 250mo, bpc is 550 for 30 days and semorelin is 770 for 6mo. I don’t intend to be on anything but TRT for long and I do like working with someone local.

Wow.  That’s insane.
Look at literally anyone else.  TRT nation was who I started with.  They were like 125 a month.  And I don’t think I use 550 in BPC157 in a year. And I’m on a moderately high dose.

Yea I’m realizing now that I should have done more research on the price of things before I went in. I’ve committed to this first round but will be moving on after.

At the time I just wanted local TRT and blood tests that could work around my work schedule so I wasn’t taking time off during my normal hours. My pcp closes when I do.

I went in for TRT and got excited about what these peptides offer once they started laying out my options. At the time my mind was in shock and really excited about the benefits.

I’ll have to research the best source, I’m sure it’s been discussed 100x over in this thread.

Looking for No forge code, square forge, forward assist upper, GX-5857 spec. IM me if you have one for sale.

I started out with the fancy luer lock syringes and larger needles for drawing and smaller for injecting.  I quickly ditched the larger needles and just used the smaller ones for drawing and injecting.  But, the hassle of actually finding the syringes and needles I prefer got to be so bad that I just switched to 27g, 1/2" insulin syringes, which are (at least were) always very easy to find.  I do cream now, so I haven't shopped for syringes in quite a while, so it's possible things have changed.

It dosent do shit for you at "TRT clinic levels". If I take Deca I will run about 3-400mg's per week with 600mg's of test. These little 50-100mg's of it are useless. At that level it does nothing, period. I now a lot of guys swear that it helps their joint at that level, but it honestly dosent do much at all. If anything it will just increase any sides you'll see and possibly give you some mild ED. Then again everyone's different, but I've been abusing this shit too long to know better.

If you search Gansulin on AliExpress, that's an auto pen with the button on the top rather than the side. But it's about twice the price of the bird pen.

They are very accurate with peptides (water based). If you're doing oil, you will want to test the accuracy by sticking an insulin syringe in cartridge and seeing if what it pushes is accurate. And idk about the Gansulin, but I wouldn't use the bird pen for a dose less than 10 units. I found with under 10 units it wouldn't have enough spring tension. That'd be a better use case for a manual pen.

Saw this video when first posted and still have questions.
T is a bit thicker, does this work well with their tiny needle?
You mentioned possible issues with 10 units, I am at 15 units and curious if there would be issues.

What happens to all that air in the vial? Does that get injected too?

The air does not get injected, you puge it out same as you would a syringe...

You said you're at 15 units. Are you doing daily? Are you doing sub-q or IM?

You're on 60mg a week? (200mg/ml x .3)

I didn't watch the full video, it was just the quickest one I found for explaining how to fill a cartridge, but you'd want to purge the air by pushing on the rubber plunger while you still have a purge needle in, or you can purge it by using it normally while it's not in your body and holding it vertically so the air is coming out first.

The Amazon needles I posted work fine for oil. I'm able to do IM with them where I have no body fat. But frankly most people get along fine with sub-q under .25ml / 25units

The BD needles I posted are for peptides/water based stuff. As short and tiny as it gets.

So, still not certain (yeah, I am a bit slow), are you staying this contraption is still ok with T?
My traps are great with no fat so it would work just not sure with those needles will work with T due to how thick it is.
Ever try the bicep? Little to no fat there.
Are 27g needles available for this as its what I use with T.

1. Yes I'm saying it works with T

2. It works for sub-q or IM.

3. I'm trying to confirm you're only using 60mg a week across two .15ml doses for a total volume of .3ml. If that's the case it's kinda nuts to do IM and use such a large needle as it's such a small volume. Regardless, the Amazon listing needles in my linked post will work for shallow IM or sub-q, and if you really want a larger/deeper needle, you could use a 29g 1/2 like this:
Amazon Product
  • Needles For Injections: Our pen needles are made with surgical steel, film-coated, tri-bevel cut, and electro-polished to remove burrs, which maximizes comfort at the injection point

Blood pressure is 130ish to 140ish over 70s to 80s so okish. Take Allopurinol 100mg for gout, 15mg adderall and a daily pepcide type medication with its name escaping me.

I did take two asprine last night about 1.5 hours before and had some 1 on 1 with the wife and the headach never came around.

My Test Dr does a nuroloigcal scan and that Dr said I have some nurological inflimation and I should see a specialist. I have an appointment with my PC tomorrow and plan to bring that up.

There is an AliExpress link in my original linked post where you can buy 50 of the vials (a lifetime) for $14. You can buy a 10 pack on Amazon for the same price. The vial is multi-use use in the sense you use it until the 3ml of test or peptide you filled it with is gone (like the vial you get your stuff in). The needle tips are true single use, like a syringe. The pen is a durable good that you can get years of use out of before it breaks. If you use them and really like them, id recommend stocking up with a few. They were unavailable for about 6mo, AliExpress could always crack down on medical goods, and the domestic manufacturer of a similar type (Owen Mumford) discontinued them.

So im going to get my bloodwork done after the first three months of being on 200mg injected every two weeks. Id like to ask my urologist to put me on maybe 150mg or so weekly as i feel real good the first week and meh the second.  I know most advocate for weekly or more injections but then i came across this link below

Ideally  as far as symptom relief  id like to go 200mg weekly, but i have 2 stents in me and i dont know if hell go for it…..what do you guys think? 44 yoa, 5ft 10 inches tall, 210lbs.  I weight train 4 days a week with one day devoted to rucking or jogging. Good shape despite having the heart attack almost two years ago. Still play softball in the spring and summer. Still on my multi jurisdictional SWAT Team and handle that fine

My initial bloodwork was 300ish total T with an 8.5 free

So I just got my labs back from the local place that specializes in holistic medicine and TRT/hormone therapy.

They said my free testosterone is at 70, total is 432...and they want to see it at 1000-1100.

They recommended the implanted pellets that last around 6-7 months. Around $800 per "pellet load".  They said I could also do the injections bi-weekly....but I really hate needles.

Anyone done the pellets? Is $800 about right...or way expensive?

I'm 47, 220lbs, 6'6", and moderately active. They said everything else on my labs looked great.

Thoughts?

I don't think you're going to find a single knowledgeable person on this thread who will tell you anything other than pellets are one of, if not the, worst option for testosterone replacement.

Also, injections every 2 weeks is another terrible idea. Look up the half-life of test cypionate to understand why.

Seriously, run away from this clinic as fast as you can. They're clueless and likely to do you more harm than good.

As far as the needles, get over it. I don't mean to sound like a dick here, but it's the best option for most and after the first couple injections it just becomes a non-issue. It's really not a big deal.

Nowhere in the Constitution will you find the phrase, "unless it's inconvenient to Government".

As far as the needles, get over it. I don't mean to sound like a dick here, but it's the best option for most and after the first couple injections it just becomes a non-issue. It's really not a big deal.

Sorry.....when I said bi-weekly, I meant two shots a week.....not a shot every two weeks.

Total T was 432 ng/dl,  free shows 70 pg/ml.

That makes more sense. I'd still steer clear of the pellets idea.

Can you catch me up on the downsides of the pellets? Don't really want to go back and read through 400,+ pages

Pellets exist to make docs rich.
A vial of testosterone lasts me 10 weeks.  It costs $10 copay.
Add in $10 of syringes and needles, it’s a no brainer.

And stop whining about injections.  Man up.

You can google for more in-depth explanations, but it mainly comes down to the release of T from them isn't really that consistent over time leading to wildly different hormone levels between replacements. For example, you could be initially receiving way too much T w/ associated side effects, then that tapers off to not enough T w/ it's own set of side effect. In between, you really have no options to adjust the dosage. W/ TRT, it's pretty important to get the dosage dialed in to what works best for you. Some guys tolerate and enjoy very high levels, others feel better at a more moderate level. Pellets really limit your ability to find your personal sweet spot. We're not trying to hit a number. We're trying to find where we feel and function best.

Also, for what it's worth, pellets tend to be the most expense way to replace testosterone.

So I went to the local testosterone clinic. They drew blood and are doing hormone tests. I'll get the testosterone next week. Unless I misunderstood, they said they would probably recommend I inject 200mg of cypionate each week. Sounds like a lot to me but I am willing to give it a try.

Do you get migraine headaches outside of that scenario?  I used to get a lot of migraines and if I had even a minor one when starting that activity it would turn into a major painful headache when trying to finish.  At some points they were debilitating, to the point where I would instantly stop, grab my head in agony, and fall/roll over.  But outside of starting with a migraine that doesn't happen.

If your doctor won't do much to treat it ask him if you can get some migraine medication to try.  Different medications work better/worse for different people so that still might be trial and error if you want to see if that works.  One called Relpax worked extremely well for me.  There is a generic option now which is cheaper, Eletriptan is the name.  The other one that works for me is Maxalt rizatriptan and is even cheaper.  Take it 2 hours before the activity starts to eliminate any migraine and see if that helps.

Migraines can be present even without any clear symptoms.  I know that sounds weird but whatever triggers them can be triggered hours before there is any pain.  Often the first thing I would notice is irritability, increased frustration, and my patience for dealing with anything would go to zero.  Then hours later the pain would start up.

If any of this sounds similar to what you are experiencing?  The Drs have no idea what causes migraines, which medications will work, or why certain medications work.  They probably won't be much help in figuring out the cause of that specific scenario and it will be up to you to push them to look at different things and try different types of treatments.

Thanks for going over that.

It’s only happened on that level once I get close to climax during sex. Whenever the wife git me to climax via oral it isn’t an issue so I’m assuming it’s a heart rate and blood issue. I will say I have been sick and had a root canal so not sure if all of this would play into it.

I did bring this up to my PC on Monday and he of course cautioned me against these clinics. I showed him my blood work from Oct and Dec and he is saying I have too much blood. My HCT in Oct as 39.8% and in Dec it was 45.2. I’m not really up to speed on bloodwork terms but he states I’m up about 2 quarts of blood and that probably my issue.

My plan is to go donate blood and see if that helps.

A dr said that?    HCT is the percentage of your total blood volume made up of red blood cells, indicating your blood's oxygen-carrying capacity.  You were below normal and now right in the middle.   Your endurance must have sucked before

My HCT has been over 50 for a couple of years now. Not saying there isn't a connection but it didn't seem to be a factor in what I experience.  Heart rate and blood pressure could be an issue...but I would see it as a contributing factor and not the source of the problem.  The blood vessels could be getting dilated from the length of the activity level and then as it is nearly completion there is another push or hormones start to drop or nerves become more sensitive and it is the blood vessel putting pressure on the nerve that causes it to misfire and creates a feedback loop which comes across as intense pain.

That's just a theory but it is based on the new therapies they have for migraine which are targeting the trigeminal nerve.  That is what they believe is happening for some with migraines.  They think "something" triggers that nerve which causes it start sending a pain signal but that feeds back into the "something" that triggered it increasing it which then increases the irritation of the nerve in one big loop.  Several new treatments are focused either disrupting or blocking that nerve signal.

One other aspect that feeds into this is botox for migraines, which did result in some improvement in my migraines.  They inject about a dozen places around the head to block muscle contractions which can irritate the nerves but it also blocks the sensory nerves.

From Grok:
Right before orgasm, neural activity peaks as rhythmic contractions and intensified sensory feedback create a feedback loop.

heightened sensory nerves during sex, particularly as arousal builds toward climax, can sometimes trigger headaches in certain individuals. This is a recognized medical phenomenon known as "primary headache associated with sexual activity" (PHASA) or simply "sex headaches.

Orgasmic headaches: These strike suddenly right at or just after climax, feeling like an intense, explosive pain (sometimes described as a "thunderclap" headache). They're thought to result from rapid changes in blood pressure and vascular dilation in the brain during peak arousal.

The Mayo Clinic has a write up about it but no real treatment info.  https://www.mayoclinic.org/diseases-conditions/sex-headaches/symptoms-causes/syc-20377477

The American Migraine Foundation has some info and treatment options which includes the triptans I mentioned.  https://americanmigrainefoundation.org/resource-library/orgasmic-pre-orgasmic-headache/

I did tell him that my regular doc wouldn't give me testosterone when my test came back at 283 (total). I also told him that I had previously done TRT but wound up stopping in 2020 when COVID hit. But I think I was doing 200mg every two weeks back then. I'm willing to try a higher level but what do I need to watch out for?

Didn't have time to read all the way down but I'm on my 2nd go-round with TRT and I settled on the leur-lock needles (22 or 23 GA for draw and 27 GA 1/2" for injecting) with a 1 ML syringe.  I pin MWF in the delt.  It's super easy and 99.9% of the time I feel nothing and get no blood.  Every blue moon I poke a nerve and the muscle tweaks.  It doesn't hurt but gets your attention.  Honeslty just makes me snicker.  Not sure if it's IM but the muscle sure doesn't look like it's too deep in that area.  I just backed my dose down to .15 ML (30MG) that totals 90MG per week.  I was doing .2ML (40MG) and my numbers were over 1300.  That tells me that regardless if it's IM or SubQ it works!

Being active and living at ~7000' my HCT was at the tip-top of "normal" before starting T, it has not changed significantly.

Was donating blood beforehand, because it's a good thing to do.   And a good excuse to cheat with a burger and a couple of beers afterwards

A little backstory…

I have been using the gel for about 6 months now and it turned my life around.

I went from not being able to make it to work without taking a nap, and taking one at mid day, to normal energy levels.

But I have problems.

My skin is turning colors and I have a full body itch that doesn’t go away.

It is horrible!

So I am switching to an injection every two weeks, than maybe once a week if needed.

We will see how it goes.

Most here will tell you to inject 2x/wk at minimum. I found it convincing enough to ignore docs advice of 1x/week.

An injection every 2 weeks makes no sense at all. Test cyp's half life is shorter than that and you'll never be on a stable dose.

So my testosterone vials are ordered and should arrive in about 5 days. I'm not sure, but I don't think I will be receiving syringes with needles. Where is the best place to buy from? I figure I'll get Luer Lock syringes with different size needles for withdrawing and injecting.

Pellets are fine.  They won't last you 6-7 months.  5 or 6 for me.   I pay $700 twice a year.  Keeps my test at 1100 or so.   By the time I need new ones, T is down to 300-400 or so.
I say give them a try.   Get your bloodwork done 6 weeks after.   Maybe donate blood at month 3 or 4 just to keep it thin.   You can always go to injection.
Pellets for me are worth the money and I don't have to inject myself 52 times in 6 months.

Pinned in the thigh again and this time it hurt pretty damn bad. Even aspirated to make sure I didnt hit anything. Oddly enough it was the first time I used needles from a legit med supply co - I've been using the commie chicom ones from Amazon which are clearly a lot sharper.

I also was not able to withdraw from the vial with the 25ga needle even using the air injection method, had to swap to an 18ga to draw then a new 25ga to inject, and wasted a good amount of test in the process. Also gave myself a smaller dose than I should but at that point I was frustrated.

All part of the learning process I guess.

Today is 3 weeks and I have to say I am starting to notice an uptick in mood a bit. I'm sleeping like shit but its not ruining the whole day like it typically would. Speaking of would,I also starting getting morning wood which I havent had in a very long time. Gotta be a good sign!

Had blood drawn last week before the 4th injection (150ml). I think my libido is better… not great, but better. I am less tired, at least for a few days. (Injection on Wednesday around noon, so late Friday I feel the most). Sleep is a bit better IF I get to bed on time. We hosted a party on Saturday and wifey insisted on staying up until EVERYTHING WAS CLEAN… then we stayed up late on Sunday… and last night… so sleep has suffered a bit. I’ll be happy after the holidays when we can get on a normal schedule.

I haven’t seen the results of the labs yet, but I’m going in tomorrow. I think the main nurse will go over it with me.

Overall, I think things are improving… slowly and not drastically. I hope it continues and hopefully improves quicker.
