Quoted: The soft steamed bun slathered with tartar sauce and a slice of American cheese... The only thing better than the Filet-O-Fish is the Double Filet-O-Fish. View Quote The fact that people eat McDonald’s regularly is disturbing. The fact that people talk about it like it is a 4-5 star rated restaurant, is fucking ridiculous. I can’t imagine why there are obesity and cancer issues like the world has a never seen……. |

The cheese is half a slice of the cheese they put on burgers, or at least used to be.

Quoted: Yes they are OK. I wonder how long has it been since this fish was near sea water. Then I think maybe they sell so much of it that what they cooked today has not been away from the ocean very long. Maybe it is much fresher than I thought then I go ahead and buy it. View Quote Or maybe it was never even in the sea…. |

Crazy talk. One of my favorite at home meals is shallowed fried panko halibut or cod with some homemade tartar sauce. Not a huge mayo fan myself but it works with fish when it's dolled up. |
try one at Culvers, if you have those near you, awesome filet of fish

I love them but, sense 2019 they are dry. Any of the fast food places.
Nobody gives a fuck. I do.. |
Don’t recall ever having one, but then again, I hate seafood.
Does it taste like fish sticks? |
Quoted: That’s any fast food. Nothing is cooked to order. The quarter pounder is though. Double quarter pounder with cheese deluxe is divine. Add a FoF as apppetizer along with 6 piece McNugget. One bite o fish. On bite o chicken. Nom nom. Now on to the fresh cooked quarter pounder with cheese deluxe and large fries. View Quote Are you a hashing a quarter ton+ yet ? |

I like them, but haven't had one in years since I'm not paying $6 for one.
I can get two Deep Sea Doubles from Checkers for $8. |

Here in rural VT where fast food can be non-existent, I enjoy one once in a while, just for something different.
Then again, options are limited. There is a Pizza and a Chinese (somehow) place the next town over (hey, it has two stop lights, which is two more than my town has), and my general store which has an amazing sandwich deli a few frozen things. Oh, and 15 racks of beer types (maybe more, almost all craft beers). |
My personal fastfood crack. I could eat em till I got sick, and then have em again the next day.
Been forever since I had one but they were actually pretty tasty in the 90's/early 2000's.
Like everything else I'm sure it's gone downhill |
Poor people love them some McFishChicken sandwich shit, so it’s all good.

Two, no fries and a large sweet tea. Cardiologist does not approve.

My favorite by far. I used to assemble them in 1967-68! Now, I make my own at home.
Quoted: The cheese is half a slice of the cheese they put on burgers, or at least used to be. View Quote We used to use half slices as well. |

How many of these can you eat without …
Asking for a hungry friend. |

Like everything else I'm sure it's gone downhill View Quote Yeah, they changed the buns to hamburger buns basically. Early on they did come on a different bun that was steamed and it was pretty darn good. In the Philippines it's a Lapu-Lapu sandwich. Lapu-Lapu is what they call sea bass, and it's freaking excellent however it's prepared |

Get the fish sandwich from Captain Hook Fish & Chips. If you have it delivered, an employee wearing a pirate costume will bring your order to you.
It will do in a pinch. If you can get one fresh out of the grease, boil your saliva hot... they are about the best thing at McDs
I worked with a guy who would get them with double cheese and ketchup! So gross.
Kwik Star is one of our local gas stations. They have decent food and they do a cheap fish sandwich deal every week. They look like filet-o-fish but they are not. The fish is cold and soggy and the bun is usually soggy. I tried them a few times but gave up and won't eat one now. The McDonalds Filet-O-Fish is a nice change of pace once in awhile though. |
On the rare occasions that I have to eat McD's, I eat the filet of fish.
They have shrank over the years. Apparently they no longer train the cooks how to operate the fryer either.
I guess I am trying to say they were good but now they suck. |
I used to LOVE the Filet o' Fish. Haven't had one in many years, though - I bet they suck ass compared to how they used to be.
Back in the 80s, when I would head to Indy to see my then girlfriend, I would stop at Mickey Ds and get two fish sandwiches for the trip. Good memories.
I've rarely had them in the ensuing years. |
I had one for supper tonight.
They are really good. I like them. The only one better is the fish sandwich from Wendy’s. |
Please tell me that this entire thread is a satirical thread!! yes, i have eaten my share of that sh** over the years (mostly lent, many years ago) but reading some of the posts may me think we are all doomed.... Oh, the Humanity!
I love them but they want way too much $$ for what you get. I only get one a few tines a year. They were a favorite of my grandpa and every time I eat one it's a big nostalgia thing for me.
