Coors, it's what we did in Colorado. Migrant field workers under the bracero program always asked for Coors.

Same for me. Hey Mabel, Black Label!  I had to open it with my pocket knife since I didn't think to sneak a church key out of the kitchen.

I was surprised to find some in South Africa, the can still looked about the same as I remember but aluminum now with a pop top

Piels. The father of one of my best buddys as kid worked at the brewery. He always had kegs and pallets of cases in his garage. I remember me and my buddy grabbing a warm 6 pack and hid in the old canvas tent out back and drank a couple. We were around 10 or so. Yeah, Piels sucked warm even when your a dumb kid. First time I puked from drinking too.

Budweiser, specifically a summer day warm Budweiser.

I was probably 14, and some friends decided we'd get together in the woods to drink beers.

One guy snagged some beer from his dad's stash, one guy brought a cooler but no one brought any ice

Pabst.  My grandpa took me fishing and had a six pack hooked to a stringer that was tossed in the lake to keep cold.  It was hot, and he wanted a beer, and gave me a sip.  It was wonderful to my 5 year old self.  Grandma and my mom would have had a fit had they known.  That was between me and grandpa.

First legal beer I ordered at a restaurant was Peroni.

Don't remember the first beer I ever had. Probably Coors, Coors Light, Keystone Light, or Bud Light.

Hated beer, but started to work construction at 18. Learned to like beer rather quickly, pressure from the good old boys.

I found half a six pack of Miller in the ditch one summer while out riding my bike.  Tossed it in the creek to "cool" it off.  It went from 90 down to maybe 65 degrees.  Warm Miller is nasty as hell and I think I've had one beer since.  No thanks, I'll stick to bourbon, tequila and rum.

When I was a little kid in Germany (my dad was stationed there) my German mom took me to one of the many beer fests that took place, seemingly, every other day.

She ordered me a Radler, which was half beer and half 7-Up.

Some people substitute fruit juices or Fanta or other mixers to knock it down, but mine were all with 7-Up.

I was about seven or eight.

Dad was then stationed at Fort Carson, CO. I got drunk for the first time on Coors beer when I was 13.

I doubt any GEN Xers can remember what kind of beer their dad handed them at five years old.

ETA since my Dad is from the PI it was probably a San Miguel
