| Honestly the biggest problem with these right now is power density. I think those huge battery packs give them around 1 hour of juice at moderate exertion. The real revolution will be if there is a huge improvement in battery tech that makes these viable for the timeframe of a LEO/military mission. |

I remember one of the first videos where it could barely walk and had a huge cord for a power supply. Kind of like having a computer (cell phone type thing) you can have in your hands. |

If it is CGI, Boston Dynamics can quit building robots and take the entirety of Hollywood's business - the subtle floor imprints, compound reflections, and clear glass divider rumblings are simply earth shattering if that is actually CGI. It just looks uncanny because we identify those as humanoid and they definitely seem too solid to be moving that quickly and precisely. Also it's shot on a very high def camera probably at 30 or 60 fps and that always gives things an uncanny feel. Look at the engineers walking in the background, their walking movements look a little glidey and weird just because of the framerate and resolution. There's no motion blurring at all. This isn't even a hardware tech advance over previous demos, it's more of a software demonstration than a hardware demonstration. |

The GOOD shit is probably 10X better/faster/stronger and there is no way they will show its true capabilities. |
