The thing is, if you're hotdogging an engine (of which you have a limited amount) to be a timesheet hero in practice, you've got about 24hrs before you look like a top arsehole. Mercedes don't need to do it. That's the behavior of underfunded teams trying to win sponsors. They have a run program, it's all about the whole weekend.

At the risk of dredging this up again, those messages are very tame. It's not quite appropriate for a married man to be doing that, but I'm not convinced he should lose his job over it.

Is he being blackmailed?

The reason I think it's suspicious is it looks like a teaser drop to motivate him to pay.

You can get a pretty good idea using throttle application and corner speeds vs acceleration and comparing it to other instances (testing and FP1).

FWIW, there are two telemetry sources, high and low bandwidth. Public data is low and the teams (and maybe others) get the high. IIRC, the low is somewhere around 10 samples per second while the high is in the hundreds per second. I bring it up because most of what we see is based on low bandwidth and with the speeds we are dealing with, it can make a fairly significant difference. The teams have the data and processing to know so much more. It isn’t shared because it would ruin a lot of the drama.

From what I have seen/read, none of it passes the sniff test. There are services that create fake WhatsApp conversations and the selfies show a 98-99% certainty of being created with AI.

If it is just screenshot jpgs…..that is about as amateur as it gets.

Ferrari has a lot of work to do!!

Ferrari will make a major diversity push by hiring Al Jolson to sing Mammy at Monza

Here's Ham's future response:

Well, Jagr not being married, and the girl not being an employee or direct report of Jagr's doesn't exactly make these two cases comparable.

Yes Toto would have.

Heck Toto may have a letter from the complainant just like he had a letter from Perez on the porpoising car.

As much as I dislike Toto, I doubt he would have really relished Horner’s getting fired.  Unless, he thought Horner was behind the allegations against his wife, then it’s game on.

I so want Sainz to beat Leclerc this season because I think Ferrari did him dirty by dumping him.  On a certain level, I can understand Ferrari jumping on the chance to get a 7 time world champion, and someone has to go, but I think Sainz deserved a little better.
