He said Russia has 4-8 weeks left to end this conflict or Russia will completely collapse because of sanctions. Which begs the question: What happens if they stop? Does the world just go back to normal? Will the world end up trying to compensate to make russia stable again? Putin isn't going to stop. He wants to crush Ukraine. I think this whole World-Gangs-Up-On-Big-Bad-Leader frenzy may have put something in motion that no one really knows what to do with. As Peter says in that video, "The sanctions surprised EVERYONE." As far as Russia collapsing in 4-8 weeks... I wouldn't be surprised to see them pull some kind of diabolical rabbit out of a hat that lets them stay afloat. I just got done watching his Ft. Spang a track off or hit an engine compartment, and with the sorry state of the Russian recovery / repair apparatus you still have a dead tank pretty much. The crew would probably bail and haul ass anyway. I had an M88 when I was in, and I'm just not seeing their recovery vehicles in any of the videos. We always were pretty near the tanks ( at a distance, but not miles away ). |

I assume this is a ploy to try to get merchant ships scared to sail,I can’t see them being stupid enough to do something like trying to sink a freighter in the North Sea or Med they came to the conclusion was carrying weapons.

They are already doing much of this, but groups of 5 or more Russian APC's and tanks with a small group of guys with a NLAW and RPG aren't enough to stun the Russian units enough to prevent heavy amounts of retaliatory fire. I agree. The recent video of the tank column ambushed from stage right (camera left) and the infantry dismounting and scattering just cries for a volley instead of one. Yep. It seems not enough ATGM coupled with conventional RPGs (should be tons of those). Should have hit the tank and the 2-3 BMPs all at once. |

Does anyone notice how the Ukrainian soldiers are always smiling and in good spirits? That's why I think they will win - they *know* they are part of a righteous cause. They know they have the moral high ground and are fighting for their country.
You can't buy morale at any price. And in a siege (which is what this will become) morale of the defenders is everything. |
