It's page 1900 and Putin will have his litte short king ego parade today.
Before the war and based on the info comming out I was pretty sure at the time Putin was going for a small land grab. When it was clear he was going for the whole country I would have predicted we would be wel in to a long insurgency by now. I'm pretty amazed Ukraine is motivated as fuck and still fully in the war, I am also amazed how much Russia totally sucks and that they are competing with Arab armies for the bottom shit ranking. I wil say my peace to just say fuck any defeatists, NATO's fault, America bad, Russian Sphere and other tacit Putin supporters. Whatever the outcome Ukrainian resistance against a hugely more powerful evil foe wil go down in hisorty along with the Spartans, Masada and the Alamo. I hope the Russian people wake up soon and do the needful in their country OR be killed droves following a old turd's glory fantasies. |

I dont see Russia seizing Ukraine entirely but they’re well beyond the area they claimed to be rescuing. Which betrays their reasoning for waging war according to themselves. I don’t think Russia is performing at the level you describe but they aren’t dominating whether it’s air, ground, etc. either. At this point they’re just trying to push a couple yards a day in the east and south while. Chechens celebrate that with dumb tik tok videos. Since this war won’t be ending soon. Ukraine needs to conserve their forces and think long term, assuming European public won’t lose enthusiasm come 2023,2024 and so on as the war drags on. Russia conversely has to somehow keep its public from burnout after loses become clear, their economy stumbles and quick victory speeches are far away in the rear view mirror. Moscow may or may not {so far they are not} utilize lessons learned and reinvigorate their forces next year or someday. This war will drag on and likely encapsulate Moldova in a couple years time. I’d caution against anyone expecting Ukraine to roll Russians back to pre February areas of control. I’d caution the Russian side at any notions of replacing the Ukrainian government. At this point it’s down to will power and if Ukraine receives enough arty/armor and if they employ that well should they {it’s not looking like it so far} receive that from NATO/EU. You’ve got Hungary, Germany and Italy barely making efforts to stem Russian energy buying. Austria and Switzerland aren’t in either.
