Germany, France, etc didn’t live in the regions they were fighting in and they were logistically strung out. This is not an apples to apples comparison |

They are made to have a very specific frag pattern and if that takes plus or minus thousands of the quoted number and differing sizes to do what it does. It meets the required specification. |

View Quote Agree. Lets all take a moment and remember the big elephant in the room. The Russians have drafted a lot of people suddenly and unwillingly and are feeding them in with zero training. Probably zero leadership. In a war of lots of unprecedented things this is really wild. But over time, someone may learn something Armies that have collapsed spectacularly at least had basic training, and generally some popular support before they pushed meat into the grinder. The troops that went over the top at the Somme, the Argentinians in the Falklands, the French in 1940, the armies whose asses got kicked by the Israelis... they HAD training. These Russians DONT. Regardless of what the weather is, the Ukrainians need to identify the green units being pushed in to the line and hit them; they will collapse like wet cardboard. Mud doesn't matter. These civilian mobs need to get off the trains and immediately get hammered. Waiting until Spring is not good. Someone might get some training on something and get acclimated. There was a battle in Finland, Toljavarii, where a Finn company wiped out a Russian battalion because they caught them standing around bonfires at midnight instead of pulling security. That sort of dumb shit is going to be happening in a month or two. |
